I thought that we had a topic about What is Your MPG or similar, where people were listing thier MPGs. I can't find it now.

I'm getting 13 to 14 mpg in town, but recently I did about 2/3rd freeway and actually got 18.4 mpg for my 2004 1500 Z66 wbh.

15.3, about half and half between city and highway. Seen as high as 18 on a long trip once. Overall, $50 each time at the pump is getting old. But I guess that is the price you pay for a sweet ride! ;D

got 7 mpg city in Feb., 12" snow, no plows,auto4WD,lead foot. 40 mile commute to work-that's round trip entire week :)

Approx. 15 weekly 30mi. round trip commute. That's about half bumper to bumper. In the 19's on a trip...hit 20mpg on one trip. Right now it's on a trip to Co. See what they averaged when they get back. Last yr. it was around 18 but truck was brand new.

here are my numbers. NO DIC so its all math.

420-450 miles to the tank mostly city.
500-520 miles to the tank mostly highway
600+ long trip to Florida. NJ to Tampa only filled the truck 2 times. 1250 miles total on the trip

Usually fill up and take 26 to 27 gallons. So here is the math

low end high end
420/26= 16.1 450/26= 17.3
500/26= 19.2 520/26= 20.0
600/26= 23.0 620/26= 23.8

not bad numbers at all.

Got 19.3 on an all interstate trip last week with cruise set at 75mph (y)

Get between 16.5 and 17 when mixing city driving.

These are DIC computed so could be a little off

I didn't see any 2500's list their number...

I pretty much just accept whatever I get once my truck arrives. I made the trade Big Block vs Gas Mileage.

:)

My best is (DIC) 22.6 on a 234 Mi trip; going was 18.1 so I guess that's 20.35. I was lead-footing it for a while going, and being a worse road hazard (60 MPH) the rest of the time on the interstate. That includes about 42 to 43 miles (round) of dirt roads.
Around town isn't much different from other folks but my average is still showing over 19!
A Z71 and no complaints about the milage!! (Just the CA gas prices :E:)

I guess I have been lucky so far... My '03 5.3 4x4 gets 17mpg flat no matter what I do! I run about 60/40 highway/city and my miledge never seems to change. Got a little better (1:cool: latley because I have been keeping my foot off the gas a little more =450+ miles per tank. :)

I love my AV and don't give a crap how much gas she uses.
Only complaint is the gas prices... :8:
I do hate how people say Honda's and such are so great on gas, until you mod them though. One guy I know with a 1.8L 4-banger gets 16mpg due to his mods!!! Another guy with a turbo on his V6 eclipse gets 13mpg on Premium!!! Thats crazy!

What grade of gas does everyone use.

I was using all premium in my 98 Tahoe because the manual called for minimum 91 octane and I towed ocassionally.

Should I do the same with my new 2500?

I'm getting exactly as advertised:

13/17 city/highway

It ain't great, but I could be getting that mpg on many inferior vehicles as well....

I've only got about 2600 miles on my '04 Z66, so not a lot of data.

I pretty much get 16.7 mpg per tank no matter what (as computed by DIC). My driving is about 60% highway/40% city. The terrain is mainly rolling hills. Seems like I'm always driving uphill, though

I had hoped for a little better, because my highway driving is mainly with the cruise control set at 62 mph. Those hills really do a number. It seems like the "instantaneous mpg" stays on 10 mpg.

The only real trip I've been on though was one with a 325 mile round trip. Again with hills. I got a little over 18 mpg then, running at 75 mph.

Well the Av is back and I'm disappointed. They only averaged 18.9 for 1981 miles. But then my Daughter does have a heavy foot. :cautious:

I can't believe you let her drive it!!

I'm am old softie when it comes to my kids. No one could belive it when I let my Grandaughter play in my Spotless '92 Pickup. Hey she ws only two or three and she loved it! ;D 'course I had to "ride" with her....she insisted.

I have been averaging about 14.5 with 50/50 driving. The couple of times I have used the truck for just highway driving I have been able to get 18.5. But that is rare since I always have to drive around town at least 3 to 4 days a week. I have to admit since the gas around here got over $1.70 a gallon I have been using my Sebring Convertible (25 m.p.g.) a lot more.
