You Say You Are A Looks Guy but there is no Vote on looks yet.

OK, I'll help him out. Everything I have done has been on a looks basis except my exhaust upgrade, K&N and HPPIII. The performance upgrades were the bulk of my mod budget thus far, but I have done many more "looks" mods. If I were 100% certain I'd by this truck at lease end, I'd be doing some "sound" mods as well.

Only what my wife will allow. There are a lot of mods I want to do: looks wise, performance wise and sound wise, but it is a $$$ thing. If she says "go ahead", I go!

normally, I am a looks modder, but lately with the AV, I have been more of a performance modder. I guess it depends on the vehicle I am messing with.

At heart...I'm more of a performance guy...as a matter of fact the first mods to the truck were performance oriented.....BUT....these are often the more expensive mods...which also leads me to say that I'm a looks guy also......the mods you can make are often fantastic....and not expensive at all......

So I would have to say I split my decision...60..40%..in favor of performance.... (y)

Started out cosmetic with the 'cheapies', then quickly progressed to the $100 or more a crack cosmetics, and just started the performance mods (exhaust last Sat)

BTW--Loved the key mods, Strobin! ;) All of our keys are 'modded' now! Patiently waiting for warmer weather to do more with the Testor pens!

It's all good ;D

i am mostly for looks. i want to have the AV that is distinctly different from the rest. most of the things i do are genuine GM parts. probably about 98% GM.
as far as performance i have only done exhaust and K&N w/AirRaid. do Mobil1 and Lucas oil count? i am thinking about the Hypertech though. ???

I had to vote other. The reason being that I have done looks mods, Perf. mods, and audio mods as well. I have always been more a perf and audio modder. The Av. had a lot of nice looking visuals to be done though.

I fall into the looks category, for now. Typically, they are less expensive and something you can do yourself. I'm not particularly mechanically or electrically inclined, although I would like to be. I did do my 1st performance mod and installed the K&N air filter on Monday. So far, so good.

A little of everything here. But if I had to pick one... :rolleyes:probably the looks catagory would get my interest the most, then sound (audio) then performance. Performance is soo expensive. And the truck runs good now. I have a K&N but that is about it for now! Would like to get that fipk though :cautious:. I think the clear tube is awsome, check out WIKI's :) (plug for wiki)

I Mod to improve. If it makes the whole better than I'm In. Performance at the cost Mileage, Handling at the cost drivablity( maybe in my younger years) But now It's the whole Picture. And how much of my kids college fund I can spend ;) (just kidding)
>:D

I am into aesthetic mods as well as performance mods. I think there needs to be an all of the above selection in their as well. I voted other, in lieu of all of the above. :B:

Has to have some kind of measuable return to me.

For instance:

Flowmaster sound makes me feel good
K&N filter improves performance
Nerf Bars turn heads and make my daughters happy
Predator is next - I love to go fast with instant repsonse!

etc...

So, I guess I mod for all the reasons listed.

Mac

It is split between looks and performance. The rims and tires made me vote looks, but once the whipple goes on that will tip the scale back to performance

So far I guess I am in the cheap catagory. Only one mod so far. A roll of paper towels under the rear driver side seat. Considering the Amber DRL's though.

To begin, I am a wannabe modder because the Av is my parents' not mine. They have only reluctantly let me do/have three mods done to the Av (club decal [I consider it a mod because it boosts the backward appreance of the Av], amber DRLs, and the most significant and most desireable mod I have, the full time DRL mod :)).

I am a wannnabe modder, but one that would want cool appearance mods that are not permanent and do not cost much. Once I get my OWN Av, I'll probably move to the performance part of it.

I don't know..look how long it took for me to throw some Wagner..885 fog's......you would think that they were hard to find or something..... ;D
