I saw a lot of people complaning that the commericals for the Av's are getting old. ?So the question that I pose is what would your Idea be for the Avalanche to show off its changing abilites?? ?Please be creative and not just 4 hooter girls changing it back to a pick-up truck, then lining the bed with plastic to make it a hot tub!! ?LOL ?So you complianed now do GM one better!

How about one filmed in Oregon? You have a scene out at the 'Home Depot'-like store. Two couples pull up. One in a standard pickup and the other in an AV. Both couples go in for some drywall/gypsum board. When they come out it is pouring rain - hard. While the first couple debates waiting out the rain (another 5 months away here in Oregon), the AV couple simply put the midgate down and load it all up. As the AV pulls away, you see the truck coulpe trying to wrap their stuff with a tarp in hopes of keeping it dry.

...and the Hooter's Girls jump up and down in appreciation. (ya gotta have the Hooter's Girls in there some where)

OK... so no Hooter's Girls in this one.

The Swiss Bikini Team is out riding their mountain bikes. It starts to rain hard again. (come on this is Oregon). SO a guy in a subaru baja pulls up to give them a lift. While they are trying to figure out how many trips it will take to get them all back to their hotel, a nice guy in an AV pulls up. The panels pop off and go into the bag. The 5 women pile into the AV. As they drive off they invite the nice AV owner to warm up in the hot tub with them back at the hotel.

OK OK Here is one for the women:

A women in an AV is rounding the corner when she sees a father with his young son sitting on the side of the road. His truck is dead in the water. He was taking his son to race in the soapbox durby.

She pulls over and offers them a lift. She drops the midgate. They load the boy's soapbox racer in the bed. All three pile in the roomy front bench seat to head off down to the race.

The closing scene is of the little boy recieving a small trophey with the father, the nice AV lady, and the av in the background.

The AV commercial should have something that really show the vehicle similar to the fine production done on the silverado ads. Why not show the AV being admired by the herd of wild horses similar to the silverado or being admired by a group of fans at an NFL game. Something that really shows the vehicle, midgate and other features.. The AV ads are fun but the new ones really don't show the vehicle...I think they are embarassed with the cladding. Just my opinion....

This thread is going to make the GM marketing folks' job easy . . . All of us AV lovers brainstorming ideas for them. How about a flashback to a young boy asking Santa for a transformer toy, he says "it has to be a truck and a car," kinda' like mom's stationwagon, but bigger, and tougher, and from the future. Santa tells the little boy there is just no such thing. Flash ahead to the boy in his room, tearing all his toys cars and trucks apart, trying to build a better one. Flash ahead to the (grown up) man who leaves his desk at the end of the day (from his job at GM) to walk out to the parking lot, hit the remote switch to his AV parked in the CEO spot, and smile a boyish smile ;D

I agree, you folks are going to make life easy for Chev's advertising department. These are all very good ideas. You are a creative bunch! ;D

I say forget the NFL Team, and have the Colorado Avalanche NHL team admire it as it drives out on the ice to pick up the hooter girls that did the pregame warm-up!!

I always like the Transformer idea...as in the cartoon....kinda like the Octomus-prime.....having some sort of sequence where the av starts off as is..and then transforms itself...kinda thing.....what do ya think....would be a winner with the kids too.... :B:

Ok let's take this idea one further! The comerical has it transforming into a Jet, a boat, and even a rocket or a robot, all by a push of the button in the cab. Show it doing some wild stuff, but at the end of the comerical show the real truck transforming from SUV to a truck, With a caption that we are working on the other options!

I say we present your idea to the marketing dept. of Chevy and see if we can make that one a reality...how awestruck would you be to see that commercial air one night on tv.... :B:

How bout , Half second still shots of 20-30 AV's, From stock through custom. Lifted ones, slamed ones, stretched ones. Plastic ones to painted ones. Z-71, 4x4, Z-66, 2500. Strobin ones, neon ones. Mid-Gate closed, gate open. Empty bed , Home depot load. Sunday driving to mudd a flyin.

then bam, stop to a medim shot, one person looking at their reflection in a window. pull back to reveal them next a Brand new AV, sitting on a dealer lot.

Let the dreams begin....................... >:D

Oh ya beter include the new Iron Avalanche also

Sounds good to me but you forgot the Hootergirls!!! Have to have them hootergirls. I mean forget the Northface edition, how about a hooters edition!!

Sounds cool....a sunset orange metallic av with the hooters trademark logo airbrushed on the hood...hmm...we can really get creative with this one... ;D :B:

Well I just sent GM the following!!

I am a very proud owner of a Chevy Avalanche. Matter of fact I am a member of the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club of North America; www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com Well on one of the forums we have mentioned what we would like to see the Chevy avalanche ads for TV be like! So a bunch of us have brainstormed and we really have come up with a good ad we would like to share!! The first is the suggestion from one member, with an improvement from another! NJAV?s IDEA: I always like the Transformer idea...as in the cartoon....kinda like the Octomus-prime.....having some sort of sequence where the av starts off as is..and then transforms itself...kinda thing.....what do ya think....would be a winner with the kids too.... So what do you think? Please contact me at wvusquatch@hotmail.com and let us know what you think??

Who Knows if we will even here anything back!! If so I will post it here!!

Great initiative....Hopefully they won't just laugh it off, and will return with some sort of word...this would be great....I wonder how difficult it would be for them to put something like this together... :B:

Don't be surprised if they like our ideas we get put on the payroll as creative consultants....ok..ok...one can dream... :B:
