What's the easiest to get USB power that's not always "on"?

My dash cam currently plugs into the cigarette lighter socket via a USB plug.
As we all know, the socket is always "live". How do I get power somewhere else that turns off when the truck is off?
Thank you,

How about if you hardwire it. ??

^^^ That
You can tie into the unused x14 port in the distribution block above and to the left of the brake pedal. see diagrams here

So do I cut the USB cable and weld in a couple prongs? I've never cut a USB cable and am not sure how many wires are under there?
Thanks,

buy this, then find a spot to mount it. I had one in my amazon cart i was going to put in my jeep, but now the jeep is for sale. USB cords have more than 2 wires, this is far easier then trying to tie a USB cord into a power source. and could be mounted just about anywhere. search amazon for "car USB port" to see even more options.

Just rewire the one cigarette lighter. Take the constant wire off the back (the one in the middle of the socket) and replace it with the wire you ran from the fuse box. Now you have one switched, and one always hot.

Thanks for the link!
Sorry for the stupid question: where do the 2 rings on the red and black wires go to? Since they're rings, they get fastened to 2 posts/screws? But where?

you can cut the rings off and just tie into switched power from somewhere under the dash.
