I am getting ready to put my 22's on this week and was wondering....my wheels have center caps so can I use my stock lugs?  I hope so, would rather spend that $40 on some other mod.

better check with the manufacturer/shop where you bought them to see if the stock lugs will work.

I had that plan originally but turns out the stock lugs were way too big for my new wheels.  Seems they are designed to only work with the stock wheels.

i disagree.  my stock ones worked with both my 20's and my 22's.  I did have to buy a thin wall deep well socket to fit them though.

The angle of the cone is not the same on all wheels, some wheels are not even designed for conical nuts.
not knowing anything other than the fact that they are 22s makes it a little rough to give a completely accurate yes or no IMHO.

one would think that if they required something other than stock, it would be included.

true, or at least there would be an option to purchase them, there usually is with any wheels.
i for one would like to know a few more details rather than "I'm getting ready to put on my 22s..." before saying sure, use your stock lug nuts.

is it really that hard just to ask the people who are selling the wheels?

Depends on the size of the of the well of the of the lugs on the wheels.  I ran into this issue when I upgraded mine.  I could not use the stock lugs cause the lug wrench would not fit around the lugs and fit into the well.

Best bet order the lugs if they don't fit send them back..

Hey guy's got a real quick question, sorry about the thread Jack.

I have a 2500 and putting H2 wheels on already have 2 inch spacers on the rear. My question is does the H2 use the same lugs as the 2500 I would think they do but want to be sure.

Thanks

Yes, both use 14mmX1.5 lugs

Since Daytona feels like he got shafted and I didn't provide the necessary info, along with the fact that, acoording to him

Always glad to help a someone who doesn't have the ability to help themselves.

Just to let everybody know, I ruined a brand new set of wheels because i used the stock lug nuts on them. The dealer had offered me lug nuts but didn't tell me I had to have them. My stock lug nuts seemed to fit perfectly
bit it turned out the angle of the cone on the lug nuts was "special" and the stock nuts looked fine and bolted right up, 20 miles later, they loosened back up and trashed the wheels.

Was not trying to offend, just hoping someone else would have the benefit of learning from my costly and potentially dangerous mistake.

Same attitude I got from members of the fullsizechevy.com website and the reason I don't visit it anymore.  You ought to check it out, seems like you would fit right in!!  :8:

Anybody know the right lug nut to use for putting OEM 2008 Av wheels w/ center caps on my 2010? The 22's gotta come off before the snow flies. I picked up some used Av OEM wheels at a swap meet (OEM#: 88967407) but the lugs didn't come with them. For only $200 for the set and the TPMS units I couldn't complain. But OK, now I'm complaining 'cause I can't locate what acorns to get - the 14x1.5 7/8" ones, the 7/16" 7/8" ones, or something else.   ???  The Blizzaks are getting mounted on the rims tomorrow.
