wheels/tires problem

Hi everyone...i gots a problem....im tryin to buy some wheels and the place tells me their low offset and avalanche calls for a medium offset....i call the manufacture and they say that yes they are a low offset, but they will stick out a little....question is...will i be able to tell that the rims are stuck out? like will they look funky? im plannin on goin with a toyo 305/40/22....someone let me know..i need help asap

Yeah, you'll want to know the offset in inches instead of just a generic "low" or "medium" label. I don't think having them stick out a little bit is much of a problem, but if you plan to use oversize tires (wider, taller or both) then you may run into rubbing problems sooner than you would with a wheel that has the same offset as the stock rims.
