So, where should I put my (soon to be) new CD changer? Here are the areas I can see to put one (pending dimensions of the changer, of course). Which place is the most popular? Did I miss any good spots?

Thanks!

I saw one real sweet install where it was put in the front end of the center console towards the dash. The guy notched out a piece of the plastic for access to the changer cartridge and then put a wood trim around it. It looked very sweet. Of course I think his system probably cost almost as much as his truck.

But, my recommendation would be to put it in your center console or under a front seat if it would fit.

If small enough, there is some room under the cup holders, even with the rear ducts.

I bought the 12 disc delco off of ebay, and put it under the front passengers seat, it is not power, the only thing you have to do to change the cartridge is lift seat release and slide cartridge out,,,,,,,,,

i installed a six cd changer in my console and secured it with velcro strips to the side which left room for a cd holder with 24 cds, it has been on for 1 month w/o any problems, i like it in the console because it is accessable and out of sight from potential thiefs! i purchased the cd changer from gmdirectparts.
