Sick and tired of accidentally hitting the OnStar button on steering wheel and want to rip it out by it's short hairs.  Only found one fuse labeled for it and wouldn't you know it, it's shared with rear seat entertainment center!!  Thanks Chevy, what kickbacks are had from OnStar?

So I want to disconnect the entire module and leave fuses alone.  But need to know where Chevy hide the damn thing and then could use working diagram for any harness connected to it!!

Figure that will kill the big brother spy in sky tracking and more importantly the dang button which goes into several minute sales pitch when you try to exit the damn service....  ANY help appreciated!!!!!!

Easily accessible.  Take your glove box box, its right behind it.  However note that I think this box is shared with XM (if you use XM).  You may wish to only unplug the antenna for onstar.  You will see that 2 are plugged in to this box.  I cannot remember which color is which, so you can look that up or use trial and error.

Hey all! It's been awhile since I've posted. Gee, I remember when this forum started....sheesh.

Anyway, did you remove the OnStar unit, or just unplug the antenna? I want to just get rid of the whole shooting match. I have an android head unit I want to install, and I am planning on bypassing the BOSE amp, deleting the rear "entertainment" system, and rewiring the speakers with new passive crossovers and extra tweeters, etc. In short, no more stock anything. I can get the chime to work, SWC is easy with the android units and resistance wiring, but I don't know if the OnStar Motorola unit controls anything else outside Onstar.

Side Note, it says I joined in 2014 and only have 2 messages. Weird. I joined in 2002 when I was back home in Bellevue.

Thanks! I am not so much worried about onstar dying, I just was curious if the Motorola module controls other functions, or if I can just pull everything. I want to use the space for other items such as passive crossovers etc.
