I have the North Face edition and it comes with a engine block heater. I checked the owners manual and I still can't find the stupid thing. Does anyone have one also?

Per the manual it's supposed to be on the driver side between the fender well and the exhaust manifold. It should be coiled up and cable-tied to a hose. The manual has a picture of what it should look like.

I know it seems simple enough but the pic in the manual sucks and I still can't find the stupid thing. In the pic it does not seem to have a "plug" thats why I think I can't find it???????

Try looking in the driver's side front wheel well. It is mounted to the side of the frame rail, just inboard of the splash guard.

I agree - it cannot be seen from the engine compartment.

Mine was Zip-Tied to the bracket under the battery. It now lives on top of the battery. ;D

THE BLOCKHEATER CORD CAN BE FOUND BY SLIDIND UNDER THE FRONT OF THE AVALANCHE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AN CUTTING THE CLIP THAT HOLDS IT IN PLACE ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE ENGINE.

Yeah, it is almost impossible to see from the top. Crawl under the front drivers side and you will see the cord.

Thanks to the wonderful search feature I was able to locate my block heater (getting ready for winter) and I thought I was going to have to get one installed!
