WHERE TO MOUNT A 12CD CHANGER?

I HAVE A 12 CD CHANGER, FM MOD, THAT HAS BEEN LYING AROUND HERE FOR YEARS. I WANT TO MOUNT IT, BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE. I HAVE ELECTRIC BUCKETS, DRIVE AND PASS SO NO ROOM THERE, AND THE BACK SEATS WON'T WORK BECAUSE OF MIDGATE. IT WILL FIT IN MY CONSOLE, BUT I HATE TO LOSE THAT PRECIOUS STORAGE SPACE. TOO BIG FOR GLOVEBOX.

ANY IDEAS, WHERE DID Y'ALL MOUNT YOUR'S?

I mounted my Kenwood 10 disc changer under the backseat
(drivers side). It fits perfectly there and I still have midgate
ability. Make sure you try it there before you try anything else.
There is a suprising amount of clearance there for the size.
ps mine is fm modulated also..

There is about 5" of clearance under the seats (w/ midgate fully down) - some of the older 12-disc changers are much larger than that. Unfortunately, there's not much other place to put it. I would think about mounting it on the side of the bed towards the front of the truck. You would have to lower the midgate to get to change it though.

I'd bet it'll fit under the back seat like aetatis mentioned. As a point of reference, I stuck my Pioneer M1 changer under the seat and it worked with no problem at all. It's dimensions are 10 7/8W x 4H x 6 5/8D. Take it out and sling it under the seat, I'll bet it'll fit with no problem.

On the topic, I remember my first changer.....a 10 disc Yamaha connected to a YCT925 pullout. It's amazing how small changers have gotten these days. Well, acutally it's even more amazing that they've been replace by 10 and 20G harddrives in Ipods and MusicKegs and such.

If you are going with the factory systme. I installed my Gm 12 disc nder the passengers front seat. Just had o to move the guys arund thcar to get those
I velcroed the botom and it does not move. Just have to move the front bar that you use to slide seat bakc and fforth...........................
