Hey folks, just joined the club and I am in love with my black 2002 z-71! I want to keep this black beauty protected with a car/truck cover. Any suggestions on which one's the best without bankrupting me? Thanks

What do you mean by the best?

What priorities do you have?

Best cover is in the Garage

I could only wish. :6: I don't have a garage where I live. Also, I live on a busy highway with lots of air pollution. The paint has been eaten off of one of my older vehicles from being exposed to pollutant fallout. The cover works great for me in this situation.

The ONLY downside is that if you need to go somewhere with the Av after it's raining, you have a 200 lb. sopping wet monster to deal with. If you can't bring it into your house, then you have no choice but to put it in the Av's bed, thereby soaking everything else in there. For this reason, I bagged going to one GTG with the Av. I just could not deal with the sopping monster sitting in there and not drying out. For the last GTG, yes the cover was soaked again, I bit the bullet and put the drippy beast in there. Days later, it's still sopping wet. I got the Av washed today and put the soaked cover back on, just in time for more rain. That's life in the big city, I guess.

For some of us, the cover is THE only choice we have to protect our Avs from the elements. I am very happy with mine. There are many brands out there. For those considering a cover, do the research and decide what works best for your situation.

i have the gm av cover we use on our av and even when wet it does not weight 200 lbs and keeps the truck dry. fits like a glove and works great L8tr all...

I have to park under the trees and so my Av is subject to a lot of aerial bombardment! My cover takes the hits very well and when the material is dried, most of it shakes right off. The rain usually washes away the rest. (y)
