I would like some help on deciding which exhaust is not too loud yet gives some low end torque.. Any experienced people.

I prefer Corsa. I really love the note. I like the look
of the tips and I like the fact that they are guaranteed
for the life of the vehicle. Plus they are a Gm part number.

If I didn't have the bucks for the Corsa I think I would
go with the Flowmaster setup as mentioned above.
My next truck I will put Flowmasters on.

Corsas just kinda neat because unlike Flowmaster it
is a little more rare.

Just go to a GTG and listen to the different exhausts.
I met Punisher and saw his previous ride at a GTG last
year. Meeting him and listening to his exhaust encouraged
me to get a Corsa.

Just my two cents..

#40's, #40's, #40,s......Flowmaster, Flowmaster, Flowmaster.

Nothing, but true Dual twin Flowmaster Noise coming out the back....Oh, the sweet sound of CHEVY Power :B:

the stock stuff is weak. when i traded my '02 for the '04 i thought the truck was not running half the time. it was so quiet i could not stand it.
i have to agree with Aetatis, the Corsa rocks. not to mention it is 100% quality. anything else is inferior. just my $.02.

That is a sweet sounding exhaust. When I sat in your truck at the Hooters in St. Augy, I was blown away by the sound and amazed that there wasn't much noise inside the cab...

thegrillboy,

I also have the Corsa and love it, what the post say is true, you must judge what you want, sound and price. As also Bonedog's sounds great also - just different things to live with.

Looks & sound & feel you cannot go wrong with the Corsa!

A bit cheaper but sounds great (with just a little in cab resonance) the flowmasters for the price are hard to beat.

So for my $.02 you just have to decide what you want and do it!

right now I am sitting by the front door waiting for FEDEX to drop off my magnaflow kit... $360 shipped.... I will post my opinion of this set up as soon as I get it installed...

I'll give you my thoughts on the Magnaflow set up (y) good luck Grey with your new exhaust ;)

Friend had 2 Flow Pro's put one, true duals from the cats back - $ 500 exiting out both sides. Sound nice.

Well, I just had Muffman's system installed today. It sounds great when you step on the gas but just a tad too quite when it starts up and at idle. You can barely hear it. I think for my tastes, I would have probably gone with the Flowmaster 50's instead of the 70s. I have the 50's in my Lightning and love them. But then again, I have to remember that I am not driving a hot rod pickup with the Avalanche so maybe it should be a little more subdued.

I just love the nice rumble sound of a truck when you start it up. Just enough to make passer bys turn their heads in curiosity but not enough to make them continue to look or think "what an idiot."
But all in all, Muffman's set up is great, I went with the dual pipes going straight out the back though, just think it looks more sporty for some reason.

Exactly my thought on the 70 I had on my Sierra. Even the 50 could have been louder but at least had very little resonance (with a resonator).

Corsa cannot be beat simply because they are GM licensed and available through GM dealers. If the are purchased on a new vehicle by a GM dealer they come under factory warranty. They may not be the best as far as performance goes but convenience rules.

Which is exactly what I am after - I would much rather have a bad-a$$ truck, than a nutless truck that "sounds" bad-a$$. That's why I am getting the Flowmaster setup as described above, leaving "impression management" to others as my Radix-enhanced Avalanche (quietly) blows their doors off .

After taking TNAV's (y) advice about the magnaflow system I put that on mine, has real good low end kick but also notice a big difference on high end too! My only gripe is that its a little too quite on the high rev's. Had a FM 50 on my old dodge and that thing rocked on the high end. Might replace the Magnaflow exhaust with a FM 50 and see if there is a big difference in sound.

I will say that with the Pro-cold intake and the Magnaflow the Av is definately making a good bit more power according to the butt dyno!
