2002 Av Charter Member - about 24000 miles on my av. using about 2 quarts of oil per 3000 mile change. No mods. Have searched the net and priced mods that i think make the most sense. 2500 w/ 8.1L needs a Whipple w/intercooler. Proficientperformance.com has everyone beat in price and includes shipping.

I know there is a lot of controversy over whip vs other roots or centrifugal supercharger or turbo. Paxton sounded good but I don't need an air to water intercooler (not drag racing). Ken Belle info is pretty sketchy on the web. Paxton has a three year warranty and Whipple one year. Whipple is about $300.00 cheaper and has free shipping.

Other mod(s) would be Gibson cat-back system and possibly Gibson headers. It's funny.Gibson is available cheaper here in Washington at a local shop vs on the net. Whipple is cheaper by purchasing on the web.

One of my biggest concerns with adding mods is the warranty void. my local dealership said it would void it. But whipple and retailers say it can't. I love this rig and plan to have it for 15 years or so but would like to "Kick it up a notch"!

any and all comments welcome. Hope to buy mods after first of year.

check this out for more supercharger info. Forced Induction.
the stuff above that Yakmar is talking about is true. i found that very info out at a couple of sources. it is called the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. look here Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. this was taken from a post by Tom. he is a site sponsor. owner of TByrne Motorsports. you will find links to the left and top of forum pages. he also offers good deals on performance items. also info when you have a question. most of your questions can be answered by reading his posts.
