Hello! friends from Av fanclub... As everyone I guess I also have some concerns about my av... 2004 Av with 61k miles.. KNN 77 series and FM S40 dual exhaust and lots of chrome... So to make story short... To be exact 600 miles ago (2 weeks) I did a Trans-go HD-2 Shift kit ( fun stuff to mess with took 14 hrs but got done right) ( I hope!! ???) and Also upgraded servos 1-2 vette servos w/ longer pin and the superior fairbanks 3-4 servos.... However it has better and faster shifts, but since today when goes from stop I guess to the 1st... Some how I hear some kind of whistling sound at the time of shifting... But this has me puzzled as I don't know what could be??? I done so many upgrades as the latest the seal at end of Tanny but everything else engine and Tanny seem to be OK, oil levels OK and color and smell are fine also... if any one has or knows what could be please leave your input as it is greatly appreciated.. In advance thank you

welcome to the club
there's a member on here named trannyman, hopefully he'll see this and respond, I'm sure he can help you out

Sorry it took me so long to respond.........I was having too much fun in Nashville. I've seen this happen a few times. When the shifts get harder, the serpentine belt can squeal as it shifts. Check the belt and tensioner, and if you haven't replaced it yet, it might need it.

Mark thank you for your answer, and about the lateness dont worry about and I hope you enjoyed your vacation at Nashville. You know one thing I recently did, and probably the same day the message is I replaced both serpentine belt and a/c belt, and tensioner seem ok but then again its may be time for a new one... Even the sounds sounds more like if my truck had a turbo installed, cause it makes a sound like an air hose is losing air. So I'll check tensioners and see if I note something loose under the truck, I have a feeling it might have to be with the servos but since you mention then tensioner I did replace the belts so that might be.. thanks again and hope to see you on the 2007 Nationals @ SD

Ok! As per an expert the tensioner is a ok! and I did went under the truck today and checked all wires and hose like that I found on truck and nothing seems to be out of place.... But on the other hand the truck seems to have the same air leak,, dont know what could be but like I said bfore like a turbo charger sound... Dont have one in the truck yet but sounds like one.... By the way could it be then pump upgrade boost valve? As Always I thank all of those with the heart of supporting.

Thanks,
Jorge
