Whistling noise above 60 mph only when accelerating?

I have had this noise a long time. Now it is getting a bit more common and I am determined to get to the bottom of it. The noise is very much like when you blow into the top of a coke bottle (those of you young enough to remember this).....like a low train whistle. It only appears on the highway above 60 mph and it seems to be when accelerating lightly. I notice it mostly with the cruise on and louder above 70 mph. I was a dealer mechanic for years and know wind molding type wind noises. This sounds more like it's being generated from the engine but not sure. I don't hear it under heavy acceleration. Has anyone else had this issue? This is on a 2007 5.3.

Did someone sneak in and add a turbo?

Did you check for cracks or holes in the intake tubing?

Lots of older threads talk about wind noise and some found out it was present after a deflector was added to the front of the hood. Others found loose molding near the windshield that was the source of noise.

Also may want to check exhaust manifolds for broken bolts or cracks... Could be something in the exhaust that your noticing while accelerating as a change in tone but is always there?

I have a sunroof and a bug deflector on the hood. Both of those should be consistently noisy when holding at X mph no? This noise only sounds when the truck is accelerating lightly. I have cleaned the throttle body and looked for hose leaks. The exhaust looks good and it doesn't sound like and exhaust leak at all.

The only other thing I can think of is the pinion bearing or ujoint. if it only happens while accelerating
