Who locks thier sadle bags?

I now keep everything locked up. When I got the truck the tailgate didn't lock and the cover was already gone so I never worried about that but the sides are always locked. Now that I got another cover I fixed the lock on the tail gate and Noone is getting in there unless they wanna work for it.

Anyone know where I could get my locks replaced? Neither side will lock for me and I don?t know why. Tried live and the whole nine yards. It?s almost like it?s the wrong key. Bought it used so for all I know they?re different t locks

You might want to try a local locksmith, they could diagnose and fix or if needed they could  re-key your locks. Otherwise you probably have to check junkyards or sites like Ebay etc.

i always lock mine because i don't trust any of my neighbors and i live downtown so not the safest place ever

Always locked. Learned the hard way when I locked up the saddle before slam closed and broke the latch. Been doing that for years.

I have tools and ratchet straps in mine so they are always locked. Tailgate is never locked tho.
If you leave your bed panels on you may want to reconsider the tailgate.  They have been know to be a high theft Target in the past.

I was just thinking about this yesterday when I realized I almost never have mine locked

Am I being irresponsible or just lazy?

One of them has emergency gear in it , but the other one it seems the only time I lock it is when I have beer in there

After I heard about how high target the Bed Panels are --ALWAYS Locked

How can they take the bed panels off if the tailgate is locked?  Can you access the bed panels from the saddle bags?  If so how?

Sorry, should have said Everything - tailgate, bags, doors are always locked if I'm not there.

Ok, makes sense now.  Mine are never locked.  My doors and tailgate are, but not them.  I should but theres not much worth anything.  In theory Im not in there much so I should just lock them.  But Ive also had the pain in the ass of going to them with no keys and they are locked to

I lock one with some valuables in it and keep one open for easy access to shopping bags, washer fluid etc.

Started locking now.  Things are missing from peoples trucks that you wouldn't even look twice at when you walk by the bed of a truck.  Shovels, jumper cables, work gloves even bungee straps.  Whats wrong with people???

We live in LA county so tailgate, side bins, and doors are always locked.

I live in Dallas, yes everything is locked.
It doesn?t matter where you live.
There are way to many opportunist out there!

when I remember lol

Update:  I now keep them unlocked.  Too much of a pain when i don't have the keys on me...
ya kinda telling the world.... and possible thieves...
My advice is to empty them now before someone else does it for you.

Mine are always locked. Just fluids and emergency gear in there but still. Idk why.

Same with the tailgate. But my work tools are in there so that's more important.

Same here for the most part.  I have one side full of towels and all necessary cleaning items (to include wax).  The other side is emergency road mx kit, and towing items
