Hi, I would like to get some opinions on who to buy an AV from in Colorado. I live in the Springs and all of the dealers down here usually will not deal with you so I am game to go somewhere else. Anyone had a good experience with any of the dealers in Denver? Looking for someone who isn't going to jack me around for an entire day and try to get one over on me because I'm female.

I had a very good buying expierience from Med-Ved North.
Jim Eick (not sure that is spelled right) in fleet sales was very good. I would steer you away from the folks at Med-Ved South in Castle Rock. They were very unprofessional and in the end very insulting. The salesman thought I had left the showroom when he made a very insulting statement to the rest of the salesmen in the showroom. I was acually standing directly behind him. He turned white as a ghost when he turned around and saw me. I took my money elsewhere. Acually bought the very same Av from MEDVED North off of the lot at Medved South right from under the foot in his mouth salesmans nose. Sorry for the long reply. MED VED North, Jim Eick salesman, will do a good job for you. I feel better now.

Hi Corsagirl,

:B:I also live here in the Springs, but I did my shopping at home on GM Buypower.com...I found the colors, price and options for all the dealers and picked out the ones I liked. I then emailed for their best prices and received two replies that interested me. One was from Ed Bosarth in Denver and the other was from Al Serra right here in the Springs. Bosarth beat Serra by about a thousand dollars and I was going to go with them. On a whim I emailed Al Serra with the price from Bozarth (attached actual quote) and they said that they would match the price. I got my credit checked and approved over the phone for five years 0% and put nothing down. Had them pull the vehicle and my wife and I went and test drove. Signed the papers and drove it home. The easiest time I have ever had at a dealership. I don't think I will ever buy another car by driving around and haggling with the salesman. ;D ;D
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info., it is nice to hear someone had a good experience with Al Serra. Our friends have a 02 AV that they are having a not so good time with Al Serra. I had a bad experience with their service dept. right after they opened, figured I would give them a try as I live out in Black Forest, was a very bad decision. Who knows, for the right AV anything could happen!! From your picture it looks like yours is Arrival Blue, right? I am VERY JEALOUS!!!!!!! :C:

OK, I'm curious... Al Serra Chevrolet? We have a dealer here in Michigan with the exact same name... I have to believe it's the same dealer. I'll have to see if there's a link...

:B:Your right, mine is the Arrival Blue and that was one of the reasons that we bought now instead of waiting. A few of the dealers still may have some Arrival Blue left, but I don't think there are many. So far as service on the AV, I'm not worried too much cause I can go to any dealer and get service. We live out in the Woodmen Hills area and so it will be a drive no matter where we get the AV serviced. ;D

Funny, Medved north treated me like dirt - super high pressure and told me if I went away and came back the next day I wouldn't get the same deal. I was completely disgusted.

I ended up buy from Stevinson Chevrolet. I would recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately, the salesmen at Stevinson seem to turn over fairly quickly - both salesmen I spoke to are no longer there.

Nice to see more folks in the Springs on here!!!

(I have not been on for a while, I've been on the "purge" side of my "Avalanche web site binge and purge" cycle. >:D)

Corsagirl,

I bought mine from Daniels Chevrolet in the Springs. Mike Larkin in Fleet sales. Tell him Joe Smith sent ya over (Yeah, it's my real name) if ya look him up. I can send you his phone # if you PM me. He showed me his book with the invoices and what he could sell it for. $5k below sticker worked great for me because I CANNOT haggle worth a crud. I had stopped by Al Serra a couple weeks before I met Mike and I was not happy with the experience there, partly because I don't haggle worth a crud and partly because they would NOT come down from sticker on a 1500HD Silverado - I'm glad because the body style changed the next year and I got an Avy instead!

I know the General Sales Manager at Team Chevrolet, Mike Gattis, but I don't know that it would help much because they are one of those dealers that does the "Only Price" thing.

arrival Al,

I live in Stetson Hills. Probably seen ya around! My '02 IB now has turn signal mirrors, just as a tip in case you see me or the wifey. But the wifey will think you are weird if you smile and wave.

I've just been seeing a Sport Red cladded model running around the last couple of days. It has Al Serra "plates."

avs fan,

Have you been to Fargo's Pizza in the Springs lately? On Sunday, April 4th, I was there. When we left, I saw an Avy with "AVS FAN" Colorado license plates! My custom regular Truck plates "SPICOLI" are finally in. It only took 3 months! :p I need to go down and pick them up.

Regards,

-Joe

Joe,

:B:I get by Stetson Hills every now and then. I try to wave to all AV owners, some are nicer than others. It's pretty common when bikers pass each other that they wave on the road. I think that AV owners are also special so I wave to other AVers just to say nice ride. Still have my Al Serra plates on also, trying to put off buying my tags as long as I can (Man that's gonna hurt).

Arrival Al

We just bought ours (Friday night) from Burt Chevy in Englewood. They had a good teaser deal listed in the paper that just happened to be almost exactly what we wanted (just missing the side impact airbags) and we got it for $2000 below invoice! (It had been sitting on their lot for 6 months.)

We were happy with the sales process there and dealt with Mike Hoeft.

On another note, I had TERRIBLE experiences with Medved North when I had a Hummer. Would never deal with them again.
