Hey BigRed-

Did you ever drink that stuff, or just take pictures of it? :) I got it as a gag, but now I'm actually curious how it tastes. They even had it in 6-packs at my local grocery store, but I didn't need to buy *that* much. Just curious, 'cause now I see it everywhere.

I think you should make a logo decal out of it, and put it on your B pillar behind the rear door where the NorthFace logo is on the NFE. You could have the Big Red Edition.

Which reminds me--I almost got "BIG BLU" for personalized plates, but thought that was kind of lame and unoriginal. Not that Big Red is unoriginal, but Big Blue might be too much. It would be cool on the new Oregon Crater Lake plate now that we know "Big Blue Lake" was its original name. But oh well. Now who's rambling? I must have got too much Big Red exposure last weekend, huh?

Hurry up and get the rest of your pics developed, dude--I want to see all 100 rolls of film!

Brendan

From what I have seen (each and every photo posted thus far), it looks like you all had a great time. The scenery looked incredible as did some of those creek crossings! Gosh you all had a good time.

Thanks for sharing - yes I'm also envious of your good time but thankfully you are sharing your photos so we can all see what a good time was had by all.

i did take a sip of it, it was filled above the upper big red logo befor, >:D and it taste like pepsi blue only with a strawberry taste to it, really good. i think i may have to drive back to yreka.

bigred edition eh? sounds kinda cool. it will make even more since when i get my red lift kit and beefy tires. :0:

100 rolls!     i'm not that crazy but that would be 3,600 photos!    i only took around 600 photos but i may have more.... cause i alrady got back 95 + photos... (4 rolls) i get about 25-26 photos a roll (24 exp) but the rest are all 36 exp that i get close to 38 photos a rool. and i took close to 13 rolls. :6: thank god i don't have to pay for this stuff! but i should have.... say 10 rolls done today, but i leave on my trip to texas tonight! so i don't know how many i will be able to post.

btw "the big blue" was the nick name for "the great northern railway" back in the late 60s cause they painted everything a light powder blue color. ;)

That really $ucks Bigred!! :7:

Sounds like it is time to invest in a digital camera. I know where on the web you can get the $600 Olympus that I have for $465, well that is what I paid and I am happy with it so far.

Or you could get 1 like fishes since you already have lenses for about $1500.

Dude that sucks I was posting pics on the net and there was a few on my floppy disk that I had to cover the plates on, well when I hit save 2 of the pics said there has been a error and deleted those 2 pics I was so mad :8: But not near as mad as you would be I can't beleve they did that they sould do some thing to repay you like put on an Avalanche cruise that you plan but they pay for >:D I hope to see some of the pics that did turn out I had a great time

Sorry to here about your film processing fiasco, that really sucks! You are welcome to copies of my shots if you would like any. Most of my film should be back by Tuesday.

...But you did get some outstanding shots of Crater Lake! Really Nice! (y)

By the way...Did anyone get pictures of Fleener's Chimneys or whatever they were called? We were so busy blabbing at lunch that we never even made it up there to take a look at those things. Darn it.

The picture is only 128k... go figure if you want to see it... send me an email at cafcna_sf@sbcglobal.net and specify high or reduced resolution.

Sorry to have so much off-topic coversation in the photos thread, but I got some Big Red tonite at the store. After you said it tasted like Pepsi, I had to try it. It was good! And you don't have to drive back to Yreka--Safeway seems to carry it everywhere. At least the two I've been at. And check this out--I was reading the label on the back:

Code:
BOTTLED UNDER AUTHORITY OF BIG RED
Rock on!

Oh man--that way sucks! And I was just jokin' about the 100 rolls--I remember you said that in chat before we left. But now I feel bad. You only took 13 rolls and they hosed up 5 of them--that fully sucks! I feel so bad for you. But I guess flyinhigh might be right--time for a digicam. I bought a digicam 'cause I was tired of my pics turning out crappy because *I* took them that way--not 'cause I was worried about some crapola processor having their machine out of whack. I know accidents happen and all, but that's too much. I know you have some talent, and I bet a bunch of your shots would have been excellent. So sorry to hear that. Guess you'll have to go back again. You need to look for your fog lights some more anyway, don't you?

Have another Big Red on me.

Brendan

thanks brmiller, and was that not your 100th post? hey look... my 400th post. it's like a special bonding momemt. ok moment over, back to posting, thanks again!

Yeah, it's like watching your odometer roll over some big milestone (which, as I discovered on this trip, is not as exciting with GM's digital odometer...)...

I've been watching for my 100th post, and didn't notice it--thanks!

So about photo-posting, what do you all think about my infrared shots?

brmiller's Infrared Samples of the Redwoods along the Lady Bird Johnson trail

Maybe Supermom and other Sunset Orange owners will like these!

I've heard it described as tasting like liquid bubble gum.

Back in '94 before it was available everywhere, I used to have it shipped into NY/NJ.

Very cool cruise guys!

Well hello folks. We just arrived home last night (Sat 31st.) from WW and have only had a few looks at the photos. Looks like it will take a couple of hours to run through them.. Infrared, Brendon? Coool...didn't know you were taking those. Maybe you can do a seminar on cruise photo taking at the National meet next year. Also have 145 e-mails to go through, and 16 voice mails. Didn't have cell phone coverage through any of the areas we covered.
Brendon, there is a thread that describes Chiefs method of washing the engine compartment. It is an excellent description. I just finished cleaning mine using the hose on mist and a cloth to wipe. The dust comes off easy!
