I got the OK to buy some rims? :woohoo:, I really like the Diamo 17, but they only come in a 17 x 10 (-12mmm offset, 5 inch backspace ) I 've had 2 sales people tell me the I can fit up to a 17x9....anyone? try 17x10's on a Avy.? I plan on running stock tires (if feasible)

I have an 02 cladded Z71, 4x4? ( I plan on adding ford keys before rims)

Any input is appreciated

While you say you plan on using the STOCK tire size on a 17x10 wheel... hmmm...? this is not going to work for you.? The stock tire is on a stock wheel which is I believe only 17x7, or 17x7.5 tops I can't remember!? The stock tire isn't even 10" wide... the rim will stick out further than the sidewall of the tire.? In short, NOT RECOMMENDED!

What Maxx said - you can NOT use a stock tire on that wheel.  You'll never seat the bead once there's stress on the tires.

I just added the Diamo 17 Karat wheels to my Av without body hardware.  I have p285/70/17 BFG All Terrrain KO's.  Crank the torsion bars or get the keys.  I have aslight rub and am cranking as I speak.  Looks great though.

Feel free to share some pics at any time  :)

Will do as soon as I figure out how.  Turned my torsion bars up just a bit and the rub is gone.  Love the wheels and a lot of lookers now too.

Yes, I only turned my keys, not replaced them.  Getting a new alignment tomorrow. Does anyone know how to attach pics?

Jomedic,

So you didnt add keys, you just adjusted yours up?

Swwweeetttt.? I have been trying to find someone to replace the keys, but everyone I talk to says it will be $300-400. If I can just adjust them up..........
You should be able to get your keys replaced for around $100 I would think.

I'll post some daylight pictures on Saturday!

I did get some slight rubbing up front until the tire shop cranked my torsion bars and gave it a new allignment.  I've only noticed it once since then when backing up at a full crank of the wheels and on an angle.  Otherwise, handles smooth.  Definitely worth the look.  Also if you went to a 275 instead of a 285 or even another tire brand the outer sidewall won't be as high.  My tire guy told me the same thing but I had already had the money in the tires but next time I will go a dimension smaller in height.  Thanks for the comments

ford keys will allow you more upward adjustment

I tried putting the Diamo 17k 17x10's on with BFG KM2 285/70/17's on an '03 Z71 Cladded Ford Key 2" front end raise today.  I was sorely disappointed when it did not work.  We test fitted the left front  at 4wheelparts and as soon as you started turning, the right hand side of the tire bit into the fender well, and I mean by inches.  It would have taken a lot of beating and reshaping to get them even close to fitting.  I then put the 285's on the stock 17" rims and they fit.  I do love this wheel, but it does not come in a combination that will fit properly without a lift or significant surgery.  I have seen two pictures now of people with these 17X10's in their trucks, but I cannot explain how they do it without more than minor work.  I wish they made the wheel in a 17X8.  17x9 would still be pushing it.
