Well, I will be taking my AV in tomorrow for my first problem (leaky bed panels, and water inside rear cab). I've only had it for a week :C:

Does anyone know if Chevy dealers usually give out loaners? I'm assuming my baby will have to be in for atleast a few days (replace bed panels, find leak source, replace carpeting, etc.), and I would like/need a loaner truck.

What is usually the criteria?

Thanks,
Gator

Gator,
I have always gotten loaners when I had to drop a vehicle off for more than a day. Talk to your sales guy that sold you the vehicle. that usually seems the easiest.
Also let them know you will need a loaner and they can make sure they reserve one for you.

What I've gotten is the cheapest Rental. :cautious: I think GM allows the Dealer something like $25/day.

One of the things that GM snuck out of your warranty was a loaner. It used to be if the dealer had to keep your vehicle overnight, they had to give you a loaner. In most cases it was a rental and GM paid the bill. Of course, you had to bring it in the morning. You couldn't bring it in at closing time and demand one.

Now, if you get a loaner, it's because you have a good dealer. GM no longer pays for them. The dealer only has so many loaners available so I would call ahead and tell them of your needs. Most dealers will bend over backwards to accomodate you.

Damn. Gator I really hope that gets straightened out for ya bud, thats my biggest fear right now. Fortunately for me, rentals were included in the agreement when I did my deal. I've already driven a 2003 Z-71 Silverado while they were buffing out some scratches I wanted taken care of. Best of luck.
