So there I sat in my freshly washed AV with new Sportwing Spoiler. I was gazing out at the beautiful Huntington Beach coastline. My sometimes trusty digital camera by my side.

I don't normally sit in my truck and gaze out at the ocean. I was on a mission ?

My Av was begging me for a photo shoot on the beach.

I watched as the Lifeguards drove up and down the beach. ?Finally I could see the last one dissapear into the shimmering distance. Only Law enforcement and rescue personel are allowed to drive on So Cal beaches.

I excitedly popped it into 4 Low and made my way into the No Fly Zone. ?Tower 25 was my target and it was within striking distance. No civilians were in my way as I scooted under cover of a smirk to the target area.

I lined up on my target and quickly armed my digital weapon.
Within seconds I was scrambling up the vacant tower marked as 25.

Target acquired, ?1, 2, 3, shots fired off then I had to change position. 2 more shots went off. ?>:D >:D

Suddenly in the distance I spotted an enemy personel carrier.

At this point, I heard the voices of Brooks and Dunn.

BOY, IT'S TIME TO BOOT SCOOT AND BOOGIE.............

Success is sweet but man I had to pee ?;)

Very nice picture! (y)

And an amusing narrative.

Hey Chief! You know, there's a lot of new trucks around, and some really nice pictures. Is it time to start thinking of an updated screen saver? This picture has got to be in the next one!

Looks great Xrover! I like the one with the surfers as well. That one would make a good Chevy picture with the Motor Trend trophy on the hood!

Great photo and story X! Patience pays off. What would the fine amounted to had you been caught?

Nice story and great pic. Living in So Cal I knew you where taking a chance with your beach mission. Glad everything worked out for you. By the way, did you take a better pic of your spoiler on the beach?

I don't really know what the fine is for driving on the beach. I've been caught before and have alway's either gotten a warning or told to hurry up ;D

The Bow Tie can be found Get your new Bow Tie right here

The spoiler kinda blends in so I will have to take a close up photo at some point.

Good stuff XROVER

Nice beach shots there. Takes me back in time to my High School days.

Someone in Texas might know the answer to this one.

Do they still let you drive on the beach at Galviston?

I use to live in Alvin TX and went to the beach every weekend in the summer. ?I wish I had an AV back then, but that was my High School days. ?Aaaahhh the memories of Alvin High School!!

34 now and HS is just a faint memory.

Nice shots . . . Nice Av . . .

Living in Colorado it takes a bit more effort to get a true ocean 'beach fix'. And, while driving on the sand at nearby Lake McConaughy in Nebraska is fun, it ain't the ocean beaches that I remember on both coasts - growing up in North Carolina and vacationing on the Outer Banks, and vacationing more recently in southern California. Maybe the Av will have to take a . . . .

ROAD TRIP !

Thanks for sharing the photos XRover

Not in the main beach area, but if you get off the beaten track you can - we did on the first Houston Cruise - I am not sure of the exact map location since we were in a convoy.

What about the Flag Bow Ties listed on the "Partners" page? The one you link to is hand-painted and the one on the partner page is vinyl (and costs less).

Which would be more durable? I haven't ordered one yet, but I'm leaning toward the Partner since he has Texas flags too. :)

Very nice pics indeed. ?When I first viewed them I thought "these pictures would be great ?on the front of a new Avalanche Brochure"..... ? ?Nice Avy too !!!!!!!

GXX is right. You can drive on some of the beaches, you just have to find them. I think you can still drive on Indian beach which is on the west end of the island. I know for a fact you can drive on Crystal Beach which is across the Bolivar ferry.

Hey MM,

The new Bowtie is a totally different style of American Flag.

It is just another option for a Bowtie. I originally got the Vinyl covered one but wanted more of an agressive look.

I am already planning a photo shoot of my Av parked on the White House Lawn.

Anyone want to drive ? >:D
How about drag racing with "W" at the ranch - he drives that big old Ford, easy win >:D

He has been photgraphed driving a white 350 ferd around his Crawford ranch

Which is probably the only time the man has driven anything since he became president. Kind of a interesting thought isn't it.
