I am looking to do some wiring for the remote tailgate lock and radio. ?

I basically need to know which wires are for the locking atuator and for the speakers. ?I would like to only have to access them from the plastic wire housing instead of taking the door panel off.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

where exactly do you want to access the speaker wires.....because the glove box would be pretty simple to get them from where the factory amp is

i have a high-low convertor on my Alpine amp and I need both leads from both rear speakers. I am assuming the amp does not have spare RCA ports or that the sub connection cannot be split. I am installing the amp under the rear seat, but I can run the wires where ever I need to. What is your suggestion? Is the amp pretty easy to access? I have an 03 with the upgraded Bose system.

in the left I/P fuse block (upper connector) the passenger door lock wires are gray/black (lock) brown/black (unlock). on the lower connector gray (lock) and brown (unlock) for the drivers door.
i don't know about the speaker wires.

So your putting the Alpine amp in with speaker level inputs (from the HU to the amp, then to the speakers).

I suggest you use read the factory amp bypass thread. It doesn't answer exactly what you need, but it will tell you what to do in order to get the wires comming from all the doors to that one spot, and all the wires from that spot to the headunit. Using the metra harness described in the thread would be a simple way to accomplish this.

Actually, the H/L converter can be attacheched directly to the rear speakers. The amp will than convert the signal to a usable signal and power the sub box. I can take my door panels off, but I was just wondering if I could avoid that step and access the wires outside the doors.

There has to be a wiring diagram out there somewhere for the car. I have one for my motorcycle (granted it is 100 times simpler) and it has been a great tool on working on the bike. I could only imagine how one for the AV would be.

Thanks for the coloring on the remote lock wires all.

I also have a box (double pass twin 12' kikers w/ 1000w rockford amp pumping them) and ran it off the rear speakers (U forget ur name after 30 seconds w ur head in the bed).
This week i am pullin the stock and placing in a 7' touchscreen dvd and be able to see my backup camera instead of on my visors as I have it now.

:(
Not very accurate, I'm using it now and it tells me yellow is acc and there is non. Green was the key power.
Use it with a tester, still a good reference.

I figured out the factory am. googled it and they kept saying center console. So I went old school and traced.. Sure enouph, behind the glove.. Ran a few wires and now the touch flip plays its music. next a 2faud cap and finally! RCA's will be running the box.. I cant stop, thinking i'm gonna blow up with more screens.
Anybody place a double din in a din & 1/2 slot?
Peace'
