Well after 3 weeks of looking, I'm celebrating (finally)!

Thanks in part to the great information from y'all I got a super deal on just what I was looking for!

So I actually ran across a 2005 (was planning on buying an '06) that in addition to the 5k rebate and the supplier pricing (red tag), the dealer agreed to knock another 1,000 off. And it was in Summit white, WBH, with the cloth just like I was hoping for. To top it all off, it has the flares and body molding - also already both in Summit White. All for a total of a bit over $10,200 off MSRP!

With part of the savings I've made arrangements after I drive it home (525 miles from Boise to about 50 miles north of Seattle) to have a 6" RCD or Superlift put in, regeared with OEM 4.56s, putting in an AEM Stage II cold air induction kit and getting a Superchips programmer. All for just under the 5k of the rebate (having the dealer cut the check to the shop directly.) Then the other 1k he knocked off the price mostly covers the 35-inch MT/Rs and Ultra wheels (about 250 shy with the trade-ins off the Av, but hey, that's most of the way there.  And I'll still be almost 4k under MSRP. This red tag event is awesome!

So in about 2 1/2 weeks (the off-road shop is booked out that long) this thread should no longer be worthless, because IT WILL HAVE PICTURES! LOL (yes, I know the rules...)

Thanks again for everyone's help in the various forums, it's been GREAT!

great deal, looking forward to seeing it when you get it all done <----does that ever happen? :B:

LOL, right you are! I'm already dreaming of a D60 in back and upgrading the front diff. Seriously on that front, has anyone on the board ever swapped a 2500 series Av front diff into the 1500 Av? I REALLY would be interested in that info because if I'm going to do it, I want to do it before the lift and regearing takes place... And thanks for the Congrats!  :D

I've read about some members that have swapped the axles to solid w/ Dana 60s or Dana 70s. I know one member on TOS put a 14 bolt rear on a 2500, and upgraded the front, mainly because he's running 50s and has 21"s of lift. Its a pretty big project, but if you are planning on doing serious offroading or rock crawling, then it is necessary.
Cant wait to see the pics (y).

Nope, no rockcrawling for me, those types of mods are not in the budget anymore. But some semi-serious trail and snow runs I hope will happen. The reason I'm looking for the swap of a 2500 diff in possible is that currently there are no available lockers for the 1500s for the front differential. Thanks for the Welcome! too!
