THERE IS A HUGE CAR AND TRUCK SHOW IN BALTIMORE MD ON THE WEEKEND OF JAN 23-25 GREAT ROAD TRIP. I THINK I CAN GO ONLY ON SUNDAY IT'S WORTH THE TRIP.. ANYBODY WITH ME I WOULD LEAVE AROUND 6AM.. LET ME KNOW GLENN

How many members from Md are willing to meet us there? I want to make this a big GTG...

Glenn Enkei Big GTG Avalanche ;D

Not sure I can go, but what is the parking like there for Avs? Anyone from the MD/VA/DC area who went to this before (or anyone else?) that can chime in on this?

Yep its downtown (inner harbour) and there is several parking garages in the area .I think the Marriot(1 block) or the sheraton(connectedto the convention center) are the closer choices I`ll check.....LOL last time i was down there it was to see Def Leppard....

And since ravens and orioles arent playing we may be able to access that parking lot for pictures /GTG.

I should be able to make it on Sunday, I have an appointment to get the horsies shoed Saturday AM. I have already re-sceduled this a couple of times. Anyone planning on going Sunday?

Baltimore only about 1 hr from g/f's house for me.

Brian

Enkei, Bonedog and all,

I'd come out to meet youn's. I'd need some directions though because I don't do big cities. I got no clue how to get to the Inner Harbour or any of that crap. Nearest town to me has a population of 482 ;D with 4 stop signs so this will be culture shock.

Address of the Baltimore convention center is:

One West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201

Just plug in the address at mapquest.com, yahoo maps or some other driving directions link and find your directons.

See you there,

Brian

Here is a link to a car show that I found in Baltimore the weekend of Jan 15-19, 2004:

Sounds like a GTG to me!

We need to find someplace to park together. Maybe if you notify to organizers that the AV club members are attending they might set aside an area for us....Maybe.

Mike,

I wanted to thank you again for the torsion keys you gave me at the East Coast Regional meet...They helped a lot...

Thanks again,

GoBot

When will everyone be there?
I'll see if I can attend this as well, as it's only a couple of hours away.

Enkei, where and when is the show - is there a link, or do you have any other details, for anyone coming up from Virginia.

Is your screen name related to Enkei wheels??

Gerry

Hey Gerry,
If Debbie and I go we will spend the night Sat. What about you and Mary??

I guess Enkei missed your question. Ive never heard of them.

Mike

Enkei is one of my sponsers. So I get the rims from them..
Hope to see you all at the show it should be fun.

By the way I think there is a Hooters down there sounds good for dinner? Glenn Enkei Avalanche

Yep Nice hooters at the inner harbour right across street from Sheraton which is connected by a sky walk if i remeber correctly.its a little tourist trappy but there is all kinds of resturants ..Phillips seafood.litte kitchsky shops for the S.O.`s...Discovery zone is down there if you want to bring the kiddies. They have a ESPNZone also if Hooters is packed .

hey, Virginia members. i am from the Baltimore area. if you are unsure of the area you need to be in we can convoy there. the parking is going to be a tricky. someone mentioned parking for all of us... unless we get there very, very early i think we will have problems parking together. since there are no games that weekend we have a chance at parking in one of the nearby stadiums lots.
i was actually planning on going to Baltimore this weekend. i may just postpone that trip to hookup with you all the following weekend. i will keep you informed.

Mike, we would also drive up Saturday morning and stay overnight. If we get something going on this, and plan to stay together in a hotel, we're in. Otherwise, we will stay with our oldest son in Crofton.

We can link up for the trip up, and have breakfast or lunch along the way. We will be going north on 17 from Urbanna (40 miles or so north of the Coleman Bridge), through Tappahannock to the junction of 301. (There is a Horne's at this intersection, and would make a good place to meet anyone coming out of Richmond) From there, we travel 301 into Maryland, catch 50/I97 to the beltway around Baltimore, then promptly get lost. (Mapquest says from 301 to MD-5 to I-95 to I-395. seems pretty easy)

Open to a better route with someone who knows their way around.

(Added) I looked at the website. They recommend the Holiday Inn. Doesn't say how close it is to the Convention Center.

Enkei makes the wheels (RT6) that I have on the Avalanche.

Glenn where and when on the meet-up for the run down? Service Road Again?? this time I won't miss it I promise.
