I spent an awful long time looking at threads regarding the enormous controversy (product of idle minds) about buying 20's or 22 inch rims.Almost everyone voted for the 20's worrying about ride characteristics,rubbing,dents.dings,etc. Well I bought Bigreds 22's with 305/40/22 Perrelli Scorpions on them and they are WONDERFUL! Ride characteristics haven't really changed except that it corners better. No rubbing anywhere (Z71) and ruts in the road are not really transmitted to the cabin. And,by the way, they look SUPER! :D :D I can't count the number of people out there with sprained necks watching me drive by. I would post some pics but first I have to see if there is enough money laying around to buy a digital camera.

Super deal.. glad they worked out for you!
Don't crash watching the rubber neckers! ;D ;)

Enjoy and HAPPY MODDING!

I'm Glad to hear that you like my err I mean your new rims. ;) I would love to see some photos of them strapped up under your Avalanche... that I'm sure is very happy to have a new set of shoes to run in. (y)

Glad you like your new rims, hopefully you can get someone to snap a shot so that you can post pics of them.

Physics says 22s will always give a stiffer ride than 20s as long as everything else stays the same. It's in the eyes (or perhaps seat) of the beholder though whether that's "harsh" or otherwise a reason not to buy them though. If you've got a street machine though you'll hardly have to worry about denting the rims unless you hit something REALLY hard. The Diameter of the tires still leaves plenty of rubber around the outsides.
