WOULD THEY BRING IT BACK IF ???????????

Give it up already......the prospect of a new model Avalanche that is an Avalanche and not some tarted up Colorado with an Avalanche nameplate is as dead as the El Camino.

My '13Z71 Avalanche with leather, Nav, sunroof, rear entertainment, trailer cooling and brakes packs, 2 spd Xfer case etc, etc at $50K stickered for about $5000 less than an equivalent equipped Tahoe and $12K less than Suburban. Now the equivalent Tahoe is close to $70K and Suburban $75K+, or you can get an Escalade for $100K.  So even if GM came out with a '16 Avalanche you'd be looking at around $65K+ for an equipped new one......and I, and likely a lot more of you, won't spend over $60K for a new one even if it was offered, and if no new ones, no more late model low mileage used ones either.

Beat the crap out of my '12 with all the construction and landscaping projects and kept the '13 cherry....not a scratch on it and engine purrs....for a Sunday driver. Just did my 4th oil change at 9,000 miles and at this rate it will outlast me. That Fairway Green paint, anniversary emblem and two tone Z71 4x4 badging on the rear quarter along with chrome handles, and chrome folding/directional mirrors and chrome tow hooks (swapped from the '12) always draws looks. Even had an offer for the $40K I paid for it.....no deal couldn't replace it.

I'm convinced they'll bring it back, even silverados are high 49's for a base line. It may be an ext only or it may be an AV... I think they are just waiting for the "fad" to wear off or they're designing it on a different platform. Right now it ran 11 years and there really is no difference between the "3" body styles. All we can do is wait

It would be nice to bring back but has been talked to death and despite our love of the AV and EXT I doubt if marketing , government gas mileage requirements etc. will allow the return of our beloved vehicle.
Not enough profit in total sales to justify development and build expenses.
Better to spend time and money to restore and preserve the thousands of AVs still on the road to keep the dream alive.

The Suburban was canceled then got a reprieve. Without the Suburban/Tahoe of course there could be no Avalanche because it always was an afterthought low volume built on the same assembly line.

As long as there is a Suburban it's possible, not probable as it was unlikely the Avalanche was ever produced in the first place let alone made an 11 year run. Don't hold your breath.
