Would you buy an Avalanche over again?

You've purchased a 2007-2011 Avalanche; would you do it over again?

"Would I buy an Avalanche over again?"

Let's just say that I currently have two and "may" start to look for a third one!  (y)

2002  2004      ?

>:D

My 2010 LTZ is a year old with 16,000 miles and I would absolutely buy it agin!!

Just picked up my 2011 LTZ 2 weeks ago so far I love it. Would still have my 02 Z71 if they were not discontinuing the AV

Would absolutely do it again!
Currently on my second...nothing compares.
First 2003 Z71
Second 2007 LT3
Third ......TBD (y)

I would buy another if they would offer the 6.2L otherwise it would buy an EXT. As for now my 07 LTZ 4x4 with the 6.0 is just fine.

I think I'm never going to sell mine.  I really like the Avy concept with the mid-gate versatility, the comfortable ride and towing capability.  Mine has had it's share of problems and most of them were easily repaired.

However, the way GM has been managed lately (de-contenting, corner cutting, lack of inspiration and failure to listen to what customers want) really has me thinking elsewhere.

I've ALWAYS owned GM trucks and cars (with the exception of my wifes car).  However, I have to be realistic in saying my next truck could very well be a full-size American brand that's not GM. :(

No offense to +07 owners here, but I was disappointed with the second gen Av.  It really showed me GM is not interested in making what the customers want.  Now that the Av is looking at being discontinued, I just have little faith that GM will have something that meets my needs or eases my concerns.

GM.. I hope you're reading this thread.

Sure I'd buy again.  I'm actually in the process right now, looking to sell my 2004 WBH and buy an 08 or 09 to replace it.

I just never buy new, let somebody else take the hit driving off the lot.

I have the 07 LTZ and had very little problems with it since I bought it used with 40,000 on it in 09.  I have 106,000 on it and I just love the concept of the vehicle.  Being around older models though it does look like GM is coasting on how they make it.  I was at a dealer yesterday and looked at the 012 and mine is so much nicer than the ones on the lot.  How does GM think customers are going to look at it when the older ones are the better ones?  I'm confused.

Well now, that's interesting. I just went through the same sanity check process. It had been my notional intent to swap out my (personal preference) perfectly optioned out, low mileage early 2008 for a late 2013 as the Av went out of production so I'd have the latest, newest, and 6-spd version for the long haul. After looking through price, appearance, content, and current option choices for 2012 last week and further considering the significant tuning plus minor appearance tweaks I've done, I came to the quite rapid conclusion that getting rid of what I already have would be incredibly stupid.

when im  not driving my 18 wheeler, my company has me drive an 05 ford f-150 crew cab short bed 4x4 with a 4.6, and let me tell you that truck is slow! i really need to get on it way before i merge on to the highway. thats with no cargo. now pullin a 3500lbs trailer n i wonder if the motor will blow. My avalanche with the dod 5.3 has way more power and more luxurious feel. too bad my wife puts 80% of the miles. n to answer the question, i would buy a second one. though i do want the 08-09 EXT. they are starting to fall in my price range.

Tell me that was a joke NJ-Black-02-2500 ???

Only if it came as a 2500, so no  (n)

I have to second this one. I love my Lanche what I don't like about it is that they stoped making the 2500. I cannot use it with a snow plow as I have the air ride suspension. My next truck will be a 2500 HD Crew cap Pickum up. The avalanche is a nice looking vehicle and on that rides good but is short on substance. I really don't understand why they stopped offering the 2500.

If I have to buy my Avy all over again...I wouldnt. I would pass up the Chevy dealer and go straight to Ford. GM hasnt stood by the product since day one of ownership. Even going to different dealerships (2 in my immediate area), nothing has been done...all being told that it is "normal" or "we cant replicate the problem".
