Ok being new to my avalanche and only owning it for a few weeks and enjoying it greatly, I had no clue at all there was a AV Fan club. Obviously now I know!! corvettejoe is the man that gave me my Brochure as I was leaving Best Buy in Pineville, NC (Most people think it part of Charlotte, NC close enough). I have been looking at these forums and posts for the past week and have really enjoyed everyones commentary

This is my first post and as always you never know quite what to say. I have a '03 AV 1500 z71 and everything you could get for an '03 that is standard. It's light pewter metallic which is the last year for this color and it does ahve the cladding (Although I really wanted it without body hardware). I was originally looking for a basic z66 without cladding but the Price for this one was less cause it was the demo vehicle and only had 5k miles on it (could anyone in there right mind pass up something that had more options just cause of body armor... I couldn't and it grows on you).
I figured this would be a good place to start posting since I am new and was wondering what club would be nearer to me The Columbia SC or the Raleigh, NC.

I can't believe that I actually missed someone in the Charlotte Area.

Not sure why, but the new location in Matthews is much nicer, and only 3-4 miles away.

Unless your near South Park area or Pineville area which is where I spend most of my time Either working or playing around and the fact I just got my AV .. it is very understandable why you missed me

. Oh forgot to add corvettejoes quote about the GTG in June but let me say this Definately considering going. Read up on it and sounds like lots of fun!! Count me in on lunch but let me know when so I can check and see if I could make it.

Hey Joeface I have had my hood up every night this week moding.

It is adictive thatis for sure.

I think I am going for a record. Since last friday I have been under the hood ever night/day doing something... And I am headed back there now.....

Pulled out the paint last night and againg this morn. Starting to look good under there.

Ya I hear that man. It was so nice yesterday, even though I was not feeling well I spent 6 hrs under the truck. I am not sure if it was dedication or stupidity but I finaly realized I was runnng a fever at about 5pm. And here I thought it was just the fact I was working on my truck.

Going to take it easy today that sfor sure.

No real pictures as I was just wiring up some lights, rewiring lights etc.

I do have some pictures on my site of some of most the mods I did. I have to get a new digital camera.Mine died a few weeks back. Maybe Sanata will be good to me.

Whats going on in GA? And when?

Take it easy and get better. I ought to check my calendar more often, the GTG was this weekend :2:

I think I will have to stay away from the mods until after owning it a few months. I already got my wife wide eyed because I already read alot of mod forums and have really good ideas what I want to do. Still looking for a forum to tell me how to turn on and off the puddle lights when I want and when I turn the fog lights on, I want them to stay on when I turn my brights on. Dangit already getting the fever

. Oh well, guess it had to happen at some point and time. I'm perfectly happy with the way the truck is though and can resist ... for a time

Well the first 2 modes you need to do is fulltime DRL and amber DRL . Everyone in the group has them

The amber part is easy. I dont know the bulb number but I am sure someone
here does.

The ful time drls on an 03 are a bit more tricky then then 02 but there is plenty of posts on it.

There are posts on the all on are here some place too.

I am sure someone with an 03 can point you in the right direction.

I haven't done a mod yet so we can't say I'm hooked until after I complete my first mod, but the temp is rising on the fever

. I will have full blown mod fever after first mod I am sure looking at all these forums is defiantely helping the temperature.

Well I am going on 10 days of moding here. Just taking my time. I got a front facing camera now on the truck so I can see the front end with the winch on it. Dont want to put that into someones car.

Get modding man and if you need any help us local can get togather and help you out.

I just read this update. Send me the details man I got no plans for this weekend upcoming and can head over. Next weekend I have to work.

There is a thread about it growin in the SouthEast Region section. GTG still under construction. Wiki made a challenge last night so we'll see. Trying to get us a private tour of BMW, no promises.
