Great pictures! (y)

Well, I'm getting ready to make the last leg home, and am enjoying the view out my front window as I have breakfast. It was much nicer last night as the sun was setting and the far shore was lit up in orange sunset light. But I didn't take a camera, I was too busy setting up camp and getting the covers back onto the slide awnings (which I had to take off because of all the snow and ice packing into them yesterday morning.

But it's still a nice view of Chautauqua Lake.

And I do have one other picture I took on the way down... several people asked about the setup for towing the Av, so here is a pic. Basically, by the time the work on the truck was done, it was turned into a regular trailer, with a tow bar mount, safety cables (blue), electric activated brakes, breakaway switch (thin grey cable), tail light wiring, and an electrical umbilical (red) that plugs into the regular 7 pin blade connector (just like the one on the back of the Av.)

That is certainly a nice view to wake up to in the morning.

Have a safe drive home SS. Thanks for the pics of the tow setup (y)

Glad to hear everyone had such a wonderful time.

Looks like it could be a very peaceful place....not this weekend, but anyother it could be.

Hope everyone made it back safe and sound with no problems, other than it being monday. (n)

Thanks for the write up and pictures.

I knew I shouldn't have looked at the pictures.

Great pics bonesaw (as usual). We sure did miss everyone and really hated that we couldn't make it. It's like missing a family reunion.  :needhug:

Those snow pics are awesome!!! I bet there were a couple of people frekain out over that!!!

Next time..we'll be there.

looks like you guys had a great time ... wish I could have been there .... now with the upgrade coming no vacations until end of May ... man this bites ....

Well, we finally got home at noon. My wife just had time to run in the door, take a shower, get dressed for work, and run out the door to make it there in time by 1:00. In the mean time I've been parking everything, taking care of dogs, unloading some essentials, and having some lunch. Now I have to head to work. :p

The first trip pulling the Av was a success. Almost 900 miles, and no issues, other than a couple close squeezes navigating the narrow winding road and threading between trees to get out of the campground this morning. The Av tracks quite nicely behind the motorhome, but it does track a tire's width inside on a turn, which meant that getting around some of the trees left me with only an inch or two to spare on the side of the truck.

But I made it, and I'm ready for the next GTG. National's, here I come!  (I hope!)
