I just called and talked with Lois and reserved and paid for another cabin which should be cabin 33. She said the cabin number cannot be guaranteed in case there is a maintenance issue with that particular cabin but we still have the block of 4 cabins set aside specifically for us. The total cost of the cabin with tax is $672 for the two nights so that would break down to $168 per room for the two nights.

Okay Brian. How would you like us to pay you for the two rooms we need in that cabin? Feel free to PM however you'd like to go about it

I have got cabin 32 reserved.
Lois told me the same, there is no guarantee that I will definitely get that particular cabin.
I also was charged $672 for the two-night stay.
I too am good with cash or check at the GTG.  (y)

I will attempt to make my cabin the "quiet" cabin if I can keep Toots under control.
Bring the lights, not the song.  :beating:

Shouldn't it be the other way around?  >:D

Toots  :beating: GBT

Whaaaaaaat?  :dunno:  Is it something I said?

Ian, if you'd like, I could start and maintain a food thread for our Saturday night "fillin' guts" portion of this GTG.
One less thing for you to worry about.
You've got plenty with Nationals.

Jim,

Go ahead with that if you'd like.  (y)

You know I am always up for anyone that wants to help. I will be working more on this GTG as soon as I get the Hotel taken care of for nationals!

First post updated with a LOOSE itinerary.

What are we wanting to do for dinner on friday? We could cook out like we did at north bend in 2010. Maybe if the weather is too cold we could check out the local fare? Maybe even order pizzas?

The same goes for Breakfast Saturday. I know our "group breakfast" is usually sunday morning before we leave. That being said, do we want to do an individual cabin breakfast on Saturday or venture out and sample more of the local fare? I don't want to suggest eating out for every meal that isn't the group dinner as it can get expensive.

We also need an idea for a group cruise Saturday. It was Seneca Rocks in 2008. How did that work for everyone? Was it worth the drive? Should I scope out something different for this year? Its not all about me, its about the fAVmily

Let me know, like I said this is a very loose itinerary.

For Friday night, heading out to a local restaurant is OK with me or ordering pizza is OK too.
I don't know what is available locally.

Breakfast Saturday could be done at the host cabin.
We have a full kitchen.  Depends on who is willing to cook.

If folks want to bring food for breakfast, we can do a group eating Saturday morning too.
The usual items - eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, toast, bagels.
I have a waffle maker I can bring.

For a Saturday cruise, I am up for whatever.
Touring Blackwater Falls State Park is a given.

Im going to research local eateries in the area and ask around.

I wouldn't be opposed to cooking breakfast especially since both cabins have full kitchens that can be utilized. I am always willing to roll up my sleeves and slave over a hot stove! I don't really have any breakfast specialties though  Mom probably wouldn't care to lend a hand either!

For the cruise I was going to go ahead and see what everyone else thought at first and then set it. Ive looked in the surrounding areas for things going on that weekend to no avail.

The park and waterfall tour is a given, I agree.

If there are any noticeable time issues with my schedule let me know. i tried to guesstimate the time needed for each event. We don't have to even have a schedule as far as I am concerned if we would like to play it by ear  (y)

Just a couple of friendly suggestions!

OK guys...now that we are back, I want to see if we can get this one pulled together.

We won't be able to leave here until after work on Friday.

MzBBB is ad-emit on bringing the dogs.  What is our options?

Looks like I'm out......Again.  now that I got my schedule finalized it looks like I won't be home from Utah until the 24th.
One of these years it's gonna work out.

This is straight from the Blackwater Falls State Park Website. The "pet friendly" cabins are the traditional cabins, unfortunately the deluxe cabins do not allow pets at all, but they're in fairly close proximity

Reservation fee ? Security Deposit ? Damage Fees
There is a $40 charge per pet for the first night of the stay in a cottage or cabin and $5 for each additional night. A $50 security deposit, payable by credit card only is required. All or any portion of this deposit may be forfeited for any violations of this policy and damages in excess of the deposit will be charged to your credit card. Repairs and replacement costs charged for damages will be assessed from a standard statewide fee schedule.

Pets are permitted in pet-friendly cabins/cottages only.
Pet-friendly cabins and cottages are permanently designated by the area superintendent.
A maximum of two (2) pets permitted per cabin or cottage.
Pets shall not be left unattended in cabins or cottages unless securely crated.
Pets cannot be tied up or chained in the cabin/cottage yard or porch.

It's not my slacking. it's out clients finance company. By my schedule, we're going to be done on the 12th. The problem is that the contract closing date is the 23rd, and we can't legally make them settle on the property before then, (their just being  pricks about it, this is the first time I've had a client not eager to get their property transferred as early as possible) regardless of when we finish and I have to be there to sign all of the paperwork. Their lender won't let me e-sign and notarize ahead of time which is bull. I settled a $2.7 million contract remotely to get to nationals last year, and this is only $700,000 work of work, but it's a smaller lender, and as I'm finding out, Mormon owned businesses frown upon residents using non-Mormon owned contractors.
This is likely the last job we take in Utah unless there is a HUGE profit margin.

BUMP: As far as I know there is still one room left in the host cabin, Correct me if I am wrong  :beating:

Theres still time to make reservations as well  :D

As of today the final room in the host cabin is spoken for.
Toots' brother and his wife are coming with us and will use the fourth room.
