Dude, that sucks.  (n)  How fast was he going to crumble the bed that badly.  I can't believe his car doesn't have more damage as bent as your rear fender is.

Hey what kind of racks did you use for the tent? How did you attach them to the bed? Looking to do this for a road trip soon. Thanks!

They did make a Tent designed to mount over the bed of truck -
GM and others.

Lots of posts on here about it - may work better for ya...

Looking for something like this guy has... have seen the bed tents that use up all of the bed but since I'm going to be carrying a lot in the bed I don't want to use those. Would rather have a rooftop tent mounted over the bed. Are there more threads about that too?
 
Maybe a few but majority are bed tents since a full size mattress fits.

wyotonka comes online some so maybe he will see this soon and help ya out.
