Hello,
So I bought a Isimple device and installed it. I have 03 with the bose 6 cd changer. I screwed up when ordering and didn't read it before I installed. It needs the XM options in the under band button to be fully functional. I can play music though the line in jack and the USB will charge my phone.  However it will not play through bluetooth and USB. So I have been searching around and it seems like if you bought the XM hook up the module it adds the button option with no programming. So anyone know if there is some way to add the XM function to the band button without installing XM. If that makes sense. It seems like there should to be a way.

Thanks

Do you have OnStar  ???

Do you have an XM radio antennae on your truck? If so then you have XM. It is also a silver box about the size of a beta cassette mounted behind your glove box.

The $3 aux input thread would probably be helpful for you. Check it out.

Are you saying when you play music through the line in jack it comes through on your OEM radio?

If it does I would say the issue is with your iSimple device and nothing wrong with your truck. The idea is if you can go to the XM band on your radio you can hear the sound on your stereo instead of the XM. I am about to start "hacking" mine to try to figure out how it works... I have XM and rear seat entertainment that I am trying to figure out the codes for. If I could get a steering wheel with the controls I would also hack into that too...

I am trying to decode them so I can hook the XM radio, RSE and steering wheel controls to my in truck PC and remove the radio all together.

So the way the isimple works it when you change it the XM band the USB and bluetooth work. The isimple also has a normal 3.5 aux input. I have AUX 1 and AUX 2 showing up then I press Band. On the Isimple box there is a aux port 1 and 2. I hooked up the 3.5 to port 1. When the OEM deck is on AUX 1 the 3.5 works great. However because i can't get the XM on band button thus I can't get bluetooth or USB control. The USB port has power and I can charge off it just no music or steering wheel controls.
