Yellow Paint Pen On 03 Cladding

Hi again,

I've used the vinyl lettering on my '02 and I think I'd rather paint on the latttering for my yellow '03. Has anyone had any trouble getting a light colored paint pen (white or yellow) to cover the dark '03 cladding? Or should I just go ahead and order the vinyl lettering in yellow?

I've used White on the raised design on the electrical box cover under the hood and covered ok. On the cladding where the letters are wider and there's more to cover you'll need a few coats I'm sure. I have three on mine with Red and will eventually put a couple more on. The paint settles into the valleys and is thinner at the peaks, and it shows. Probably if you sanded the lettering smooth first it would take fewer coats. But that's more work.
