You Know You Are A AV Addict When...

....when you buy a Avalanche 1:18 model and immediately begin to notice all the flaws in it.

Defects:
1. Why is there a stickshift in the center console? AND a column shifter?
2. Chrome plating on the bumpers?
3. Why is the lock on the tailgate in silver?
4. Front cladding just looks wrong
5. Integrated handles in back are shaped wrong
6. Why doesn't the rear doors open?
7. Wrong rims
8. Why chrome plating on the stock assist steps?
9. Instrument cluster is all wrong
10. Radio is missing
11. Wrong vortec engine cover
12. Engine is all wrong
13. No amber driving lights (okay...I'm pushing it here ;D)


I noticed all this in about a minute. I need help. I'm thinking I need intervention. Especially because I started to realize I can mod this model with paint to look like mine. >:D
 
IT'S MOD TIME!

Look on the bright side of things . . . mods on that will be a whole lot cheaper than mods on your real one!

So far, I've not seen a model Av that's a really good copy of the real thing.

Oh....I forgot to mention....the bill it as a 2001 Chevy Avalanche. OOOPS!

I just completed a new mod when i really should have bought some new shoes, so I look nice at work.

Heh....my modding is reaching that point too. I've got the simple and fairly inexpensive mods out of the way. Everything else begins to cost in the $100's of dollars.

So now its decision time. Do I need a new pair of Rockports or some new shirts.......or do I really need that new SportWing Spoiler. :rolleyes:

...you find your self putting Armor-all on the midgate behind the rear seat, at 10:00 at night so SHE won't know you are out there again. She just doesn't understand. Help!

Or ...asking your wife to reach up in the wheel well to wash that spot where you can't reach... and she obliges, because it cheaper than the new wheel well washing mod that you told her about in your sheep. Yea! that's next right, right after the ice maker mod.

When you say to everyone in sight, 'That's it, no more this year' and they just roll their eys and you know they are right.

I have said that at least three times, and I am now running down a dash kit :rolleyes:

???When you leave the house in the morning, see a birdcrap on the #3 cover, go back inside to get the BB gun, aim and shoot the nest in the eave of the house, but miss and take out the bedroom air conditioner cooling coils, then come home later and lie when asked if you know anything about why it doesn't work anymore...........

No joke!! He just left (left me in the dog house that is). Now I'm fighting the Av mod on my own. Can you believe they actually used the word obsessed!!! :7:
