Your Favorite Color? NOt AVAILABLE NOW

As anyone that has read any of my posts will guess, Yellow is my favorite! I ordered mine in July, and yet to have received even a production date. No one can give me any solid answers.

Chevy should realize the market for these more daring colors. If someone wants subtle or tasteful, they wouldn't buy an AV to start with. I wouldn't hold your collective breath for any of these other suggestions, although I think that they would look great, but Chevy can't seem to get the lid off the can of Yellow paint that they have been spraying on Cavaliers and Sunfires for at least a year!
(does this sound bitter, or just a little impatient? ) :)

I think BigRed is the original Mini-Goo
As far as I know there has only ever been one Mini-Goo, and that certainly is BIGRED.

I'd like to see some of the GM colours from the 50's, I really like those lighter blues and greens.

Maybe we will see those on the Chevy Bel Aire concept car, if it makes it to production.

A deep red - the color used on the Anniversary Edition 'Vette's - has gold metal flake that really sparkles in the sun - a substantial change in color from what you see in the shade - it'd look great with the 2003 darker cladding.

As for yellow - maybe they don't spray yellow paint in Mexico - they've made Millenium Yellow 'Vette's in Bowling Green for several years - for an upcharge though over other colors.

I had a '92 Silverado Z-71 stepside that color red, with black on the bottom, was very sharp.

I think they called that "flame red". My '93 was "victory red" which was slightly different. I got to see the two on top of each other for a few minutes since the canopy retailer ordered my SnugTop in the wrong color!

But I'm all about the Dark Metallic Purple baby!

Come to think of it, with the AV being built in Mexico, you'd think purple would be the default color. ;)

:8:I wish they wouldn't have cancelled Indigo Blue Metallic. My 2000 Silverado is that color. Nice! All AV's this color are 2002.

I like the "Out of the Blue" cadillac puts on the Escalade. I saw one at a car show not too long ago and it looks really cool.

It happens all the time when they sell to many of one color the then discontinue it the next year.

I like the dark cherry red, great color.

I agree with many of the post here for a darker metallic red.

I would also like to see the pewter metallic color I had on a Volvo - it was a silver with some gold metalflake in it. Really nice looking and it hides the salt in the winter really well! :)

First and foremost - tan cladding. Would love to have tan cladding that matches the neutral interior. That would look so awesome in blue, black, or red. Color options for the cladding - let's here it!

Next would be a deep bronze or mocha color. Back in 1989 Ford had a color on the Probe that was brown in some light and deep red in others - wasn't super popular but I always thought it was sharp. Always thought the Av would look good in brown. A deep red like cranberry or maroon would be interesting. Also have to admit that the peach color that Big Red's Av transformed into during Wild West was pretty nice - one of those you'd have to see it to understand.

Chief, I am with you. Tan cladding would look great on the blues and green in the Av stable. I am not a huge Jeep guy but I would like to see the Char-Gold they use on Grand Cherokees or the Yellow that GM uses on the current Monte Carlo SS. Either of those 2 colors would be reason to upgrade in a couple years. Otherwise, I'll buy my 02 at lease end.

Color choices in cladding would be nice, but only if the plastic is molded in that color. No offense to those who have painted the cladding, but I think that the best part of the cladding is that those small rubs and scratches don't show up much, if it all. If the cladding were painted, I would think that it would show evidence of any abuse much more.

I agree SS. This is where the WBH models will lack - side-body protection. Nothing to protect from all the rocks and other road debris being kicked up alongside the body.

Hey I Got it. I GOT IT!! How bout no color at all. Make them out of polished stainless steel like they use to make the DeLorein sp? This may look cool, but I don't know if I would want one.

An interesting idea. It would certainly turn heads.

The DeLorean was actually brushed stainless steel. And it was very difficult to take care of it properly. Even though it doesn't rust, it would still stain and discolor, especially from hand and finger prints.

There is one in my neighborhood that I see every month or so (during the summer only) and that stainless steel has really taken a beating -- it's looking pretty dull and tired now. :6:

Now here's a question... How does one do bodywork on one of those? Any attempt to straighten a fender, file a crease, or repair a scratch would be really evident. There's no chance for bondo and paint to smooth things over. Seems like the only option would be to simply replace panels.

Charcoal Grey Metalic, like the Siverado's (y)

bought the Pewter, cause it was the closest

Actually, the '03 Avs are offered with "Dark Gray Metallic" to match the darker cladding so your wish has already come true ;).
