Just to be curious, how many of you Av owners also live in a community with or have nearby neighbors that also drive such an awesome truck? ?I must say, in the development where we live in lower Delaware, we were the FIRST with an Av, purchasing it on March 23, 2002. ?Then, I think in mid August, a man who lives over on the next street traded his black 99' Silverado reg. cab, short bed in for a new 2002 loaded green and tan Z71. ?I must say with honesty though, I don't think I'll be giving him a brochure anytime soon, as he's not our favorite person. ?That, and he must not be interested, because when there were all 18 of us down at the waterfront for the meet, he came blazing down, got out, and went to his boat without even taking a second glance at any of us  ...

Now, just two weeks ago, another person just down a little farther bought a new white 2002 Z71. ?I'm going to try and give them a brochure, because the first time we spotted the Av was in the morning coming from the bus stop, when he was pulling in and waved at us ;).

So, any other "Av communities" around the country?

My neighbour 3 houses over bought an 02 Black Z71 this summer. I got him to pull it into my garage to make sure it fit, before I ordered mine - 4 inches to spare. I'll be using the old tennis ball on a string deal for the first time. His won't fit in his garage. Up until the snow hit, his kids played on the bed covers every day while it was parked in his driveway.

He's pretty enthused about his Av, but he's not the kind of guy who would be interested in this site (he thought I was nuts making sure it fit in my garage). Every day I drive by it, I slow down and relish the thought of mine arriving next month.

I have an owner around the corner with an 02' North Face....in green with the 22' wheels....I have spoken to him on occasion and even gave him a brochure...but I haven't seen him in awhile to see if he has joined the site.....

He is the only one I know of within my area....there is another Summit white one running around the neighborhood...but he or she is a 2500...I can tell from the obvious difference in tires and wheels to the 1500.....other than that I seem to be unique on my side of the tracks so to speak... :B:

Out of my 10 nearest neighbors, four of us have Avs. (One recently moved away) 3 Z-71 and a -66. I've seen another -71 and an Escalade EXT on the next street over. Almost don't feel unique anymore. Seems to be a pretty popular ride down here in the Phoenix area. Still wave when I see another one, though. Seen a few with the all important amber DRLs.

I've yet to see any Av owners here in the area with amber Drl's...the only Av I've seen was on the parkway...I thought it was Simtechray...but it turned out not to be....other than that ...I haven't seen any.. :B:

~BIGRED ?

Well according to your list Bigred...that would mean the Avalanche is the new mayor of truckville.... ;D :B:

There used to be a green one that lived about 3 blocks from me, and was there long before I got mine. Used to tantalize me as it came up the street and turned the corner in front of my house. I would gaze longingly at it as I would 'happen' to walk my dog past. But after I found the club, I went by the house a few times to tag it, and it is gone. Was it all just a dream? A mirage? A halucination?

I think there are 3 in town counting mine. Population is 23k. There is a blue Av about 3.5 miles from me that I've seen around town. Also there is a White Av somewhere in town because they have sent me email thru the club.

Still a unique vehicle in Central Conn.

I still feel lucky to be the only guy in our neighborhood with an Av. Sure, I'd love to have more Av friends in my area, but it's kind of cool being the only guy around with one. I'm sure it won't last forever but for now, I'm the guy with that "truck that changes."

There is 5 in my area counting me in a town with a population of 3000. There are 2 balck Z-71's. And one of the owners of the black one his son has a red Z-71. And then the Pastor has a 03 LPM 4x4 loaded. And i have a IBM Z-71. I think thats kind of a lot for a town of 3000. But i had the first one and im the only one with Amber DRLs >:D

There are several in my neighborhood. 5 in all that we counted. All of those not moving (one while moving) have been tagged.

The next closest Av is about a mile down the road, a white NFE. Have talked to him about the club, but haven't seen him here yet.

At Dover AFB, I have counted no less than 5 AV's. A black Z-71, a green Z-71, a blue Z-66, a SOM, and of course Rescue 1(red). Pretty good, all we have to do is get together and we have all the colors.... hmm have to watch for a white one.

I am the first and only one with an Av in my neighborhood ;D. There is a guy on the end of my street that has 2 new Hummer H2's , but other than that most people don't even have trucks. I deffinatly get a lot of looks and questions about her and I believe that I have gotten a few interested. There are a lot of Av's in the area, including 3 others at the company that I work for. I have tagged all of them but haven't seen anything from there here.

I've seen a few AVs prowling around McKinney here and there and a few more commuting to/from work down Central, but it looks like I'll be the first one in my neighborhood to own one. Perhaps I'll start a trend. :B:

For the moment, we live in an apt. and there is 1 Green one...base stock i think, in the same complex. Left a card and broschure, but he doesn't seem interested. Not such a friendly fella.

Don't see too too many here in New Orleans, however...now that i have one, i tend to notice more. (you know how that goes) Most i see are Z66's, only a :B:few scattered Z71's. Only one lifted. I think it must have been a 4 inch. It wasn't too high, and the wheels weren't huge...but it looked damn nice. Race horse stable owner owned it.

I need to hurry and get it lifted!!! but the Christmas expenses just won't let me...lol.

I have owned my Av for 9 months and it is still the only Av in our development of 500+ houses. I only know of one other Av (white) within a five mile radius.

I rarely see an Av on the way to work. Two days ago I saw 3 Avs on my commute. And when I went to the NJ Dept of Transportation building, there were 2 Avs parked right near my car!

Weird how that works.....

You know what we need to do....all the NJ Av's need to stage a rendevous....this way I can say "Hey there goes a CAFCNA member!" "Look honey....wave!".... :B:

I live in a apartment complex. A guy on the other side of the complex bought a 2002 Blue Z66 about the time I bought mine.

Would you believe we keep such opposite hours I have not been able to tag him yet. Everytime I've caught him home its pouring rain!!!

Update on my previous post....

Saw a white AV here on base today, so that makes it official we have all the colors represented here now. >:D

On my way to my parents house today I noticed a red Z71 1500 parked in a driveway not to far from my place.....I haven't confirmed if it belongs to that house or not..... :B:

Our Av is the only one I've seen in our part of town. I saw one parked down the street a while back, but it turned out to just be someone visiting. :6:

Man I tell ya Katy Texas is loaded with em - I see 5 or 6 every day and not always the same ones. Texas must be AV capitol of the world! ;) JMHO >:D

I just bought a 2003 Charcoal Grey AV a week ago. I've seen a couple AV's in town, but none are this color. I feel rather unique. ;D There is only one other AV on this whole side of town. I drive a lot and have seen a lot on the road. I have never passed an AV owner on the road who did not wave.

Last week we drove to a large mall in another town. I saw a lone AV (Black) out in the far end of the parking lot. I drove out and parked right next to it. As I was walking in to the mall, I saw another black AV driving in. She looked out at the AV's, then at me, then pulled up and said she was going to park "next to her friends" and she did. I love my AV! AV owners are such cool people!
