I just put in new double iridium plugs. 2nd set of plugs since I've owed her since 2003. Mine came stock with platinum plugs, so I just ask for year 2004 when at the parts store.

I walked by my truck and checked the trickle charger....

Only drive 1 to 2 times a month now.
I expect to keep here until I die....

I think soon I get antique plates for her... wouldn't that be funny as the truck still seems new to me.. even after owning her for almost 18 years.

I was going to post: Looked at my 02 long & hard today wondering should I get a new truck? Then I realized I'm married to her for life just like my wife.

Last weeks i have been changin inner and outer tierods, and got Bilstein dampers in front.Had some 3 year old no name shocks ,and wanted to try Bilstein..no diffrence. Also bought upper and low steering shafts, and have mounted those too.Rear brake line lost its life to rust,so that one is also fixed.Got a new winch for the spare tire too,but i should have got that spare tire wheel sand blasted..lokks awful after 16 years under the truck.

Put these on yesterday, and I'm thinking about keeping these CK948 wheels but will need taller tires on these rims.

Replaced the brake light switch to address the cruise control not working.

The old one crumbled in my hand as I removed it.

The repair was not too difficult other than the fact it is located in a tight spot up under the dash.

It also reminded me that I am no longer cut out for such things.

It will be fine by me if nothing else up under there breaks ever again.

But, everything is back in working order now and I can cruise on down the road.

Sadly, yes.  Three oil changes, two tire rotations and wheel cleanings and I am sore this morning.  Man is that ever lame.  ::)

I'm in the same boat.  57 years young.  And I still do everything  myself.  And help other friends who have no clue.  I have shocks coming up.  Yeaaaa.

I just need a lift.  The upper body is fine, it's just the lower body after up, then down, then up then down... and crawling underneath all the vehicles

Too hot in my garage, I bought a 10x10 tent from HF to keep the sun off me. I'm still working on the suspension and it's still good to see people working on these old trucks. LOL

Yeah, I need to do something.  Sitting at a desk 8 - 10 hours a day is not conducive to staying in shape.  I'm doing some lifting as I just finished PT for an elbow injury I got this past season coaching hockey 🏑 Guess that's why the upper body did better than the lower.

Next on the list, I need to replace my impact sensor.  I'll save that for cooler weather.

I learned something today about my AV, if you have a 1.25 inch solid sway bar and trailer hitch that has a longer reach forward on the frame you can't just put a jack on the frame to lift just one side. The whole rear including the axle will lift up. I wanted a stiff frame  and that's what I got. I have to unbolt all that stuff to get only one side to lift up and the axle stay down.

The problems I cause myself. :E: :E:

OK, call me stupid, why don't you just jack up both sides and keep the whole thing in the air?

I'm sure there's a reason, I just don't know what it would be.

I'm replacing the shackle on my leaf springs I have to let the axle drop to release the tension on it.
I don't want it to pop up thru the floor
