Suggestions for a show winner

Been putting my avy in car shows and the paint just isn't enough. Need something more. Can a tunnel ram or blower and carbs be put on the 5.3? It's an 02. Would love an air scoop going through the hood

Are you using the Av as strictly a show truck or do you also use it as a daily driver?
As a daily driver I personally would never want to go back to a carb setup and air entering directly from a front scoop could be tricky to keep water/snow,bugs and dirt from entering the intake.
If you want a power increase and to change the looks only slightly maybe you could consider a Magnuson supercharger setup?
link is for a 2003 AV but maybe you could check with them about fitment on your 2002 AV?

Lots of options.  Look for parts that work with cathedral heads LS motors.
 
I am running a magnison on my 5.3 also have the Good hood Ram air.
