Hello all,
I am getting ready to order a replacement TC and want to make sure I get the latest that has all the upgrades for past issues;
Pump rub on the magnesium back case half
I think there may have been bearing/chain upgrades also.

The tag on my TC says 246.
When searching I see different specs;
Thanks in advance!

I see what you are talking about, I always thought the 02 2500 AV had the same TC as the 03-06 but they don't.

Anyways 24228415 is the stock number also the 4l85e has a 32 spline output shaft. Now the 246 is in both 1500 and 2500 but the 1500 4l60 has a 28 spline output shaft.

Try going to the manufacturer site and see what are the spec.

  The shop I bought my T-case from told me with an Aluminum rear case
you never have to worry about pump rub. Being the aluminum is stronger.
I still installed a case saver.
  When researching for my 03 1500 found an add for one cheap. Read the add.
He purchased the right T-case but it had the wrong electronics. If I remember it was
like 99 to 02, 03 to 06.

Thanks , your right on the years.

Cant seem to get my questions answered on a reman tc regarding pump rub fixes, e.g. aluminum back case or  case saver.

Going to take it in and have it  rebuilt since there is a special tool for the clutch pack.

Cheers

Make sure it at least has the aluminum rear case.

Good Luck.

I would call them first to make sure they have them, absolutely no one stocks them.
When mine went the dealer had to overnight one in, to the tune of 250 bucks shipping and I was 250 miles from home.
