Fender Flares

Hey fellas, I am looking into purchasing a set of cheaper fender flares off of ebay. I cut all rust out of my quarter panel wells and did some patch work that I would like to cover with these. With this said. The rim of the well is not the same as it was so the holes lining up makes no difference. All I care is that they will fit to the form of the well. I am currently looking at a pocket rivet style so that I can secure them to the sides of the quarter panels since the bottom lip is gone and reshaped. These flares say that they fit a 99-06 Silverado 1500. Would they work on the avalanche? The seller claims they would not. Here is a link to the flares I am considering.
