Okay I have an annoying whining sound that is most obvious from 60MPH - 68MPH. Its very loud if you have the mid-gate and the rear seats down.

Its not a very high pitched wine which I would first associate it with the rear pinion bearings. So I think that leaves the gears, carrier bearings or outer rear-wheel bearings. Any way to diagnose?

BTW its a 07 LTZ with 210,000 miles.Thanks.

To diagnose wheel bearings, jack up the back end, spin those tires by hand and also try to wobble the tire by hand to check for any side-to-side play.  Many of us have had to replace front wheel bearings... the rear ones tend to last longer but are not indestructible.
