Same old song and dance Service 4wd error message
« on: May 9, 2019, 17:07:40 PM »

This worked for some, but not I,  :help:

Neutral is required for shifts in and out of low range. If it never detects neutral it wont shift. Press the 4hi button and shift R>N>D>N>R and repeat.

I changed out the selector switch, last time it happened.
Went in reverse and hard braked.
Cleaned a ground screw underneath or near the drivers side door.
Greased all the joints.

Omdog, this is killing me. Last time it just went back in by itself,
amd why do people make their youtube videos so lonnng and painful to watch?

I was stuck done on my property at the barn, good thing I can drive

Thanks in advance

p.s how do you add a photo to the thread. i'm a Imac guy!

You need to find out what code is being thrown that's causing that message to show. It may be a failed encoder motor on the transfer case or any number of other issues.
