Seeing as the Southern Regional is going to fall on the anniversary for Spetember 11th and Goo929 having been born in September 29 I propose a memorial cruise with a few moments of silence in rememberance for our lost friends and families. What does everyone else think?

That alone will make the trip down there worth it!

Sounds great to me Dave, after all Goo929 was the reason we are all friends now....

We can make this Southern Regional a 2nd annual Goo929 memorial as well.

Great thinking.

Sounds like a great idea, Dave. (y)

I remember that Marble Falls run was beautiful.

I had an idea and need to check to see a route and distance but thought a cruise out to Cadillac Ranch would be kewl

it doesnt look that far from Amarillo or Palo Dura and we could then cruise to the famous steak joint The Big Texan and work on the 72 ounce steaks

I tried that once in my younger days.
We were in Amarillo for a state softball championship
Almost did it too.
One of the guys from my ball team did manage to eat it all.
Wasn't worth a D@%$ the next couple of days.

Hey there Vetman, you going to join us for this?

Working on it Lisa. I don't want to commit to it to soon and jinx myself.
Gotta work some things out first.

Does anybody know what the weather temps are during that time of year ???
The temps at that time of year should be mid 90's to upper 80's during the day and around upper 70's evenings

I have thought about it, if there is enough interest yes I will look into it

I would hope there is, going to such a big GTG and all. Making a Region IV, GTG annually at different places and different t-shirts would be kinda cool.

for those who havent experienced it there is also a portion of the Old Historic Route 66 that runs through Amarillo. just a thought
