No unless they are asking a question while they have the owner's manual in their hands and just feel it's easier to ask then look it up.... :4:
Remember the old saying of "give a man a fish and they are not hungry for a day....teach them how to fish and they won't go hungry for the rest of their life!"

The receipt is a little hard to read (running out of ink at this Chevron), but we faired a little bit better in terms of miles between fillups at 449.5.  MPG is still 15+; again the snow and headwind were a factor.  But don't buy gas in Willows, CA--1.61 for 87 octane sent me through the roof!

Let 'er rip--I know some of you (Californians?) have paid wild prices for even 87 octane.  Here in Salem, OR I usually pay $1.25-$1.40.

Brendan

damn up here in canada ive been getting 87 octane for $0.95 - 1.09/Liter

Try filling up my 40 gallon suburban.  If you have to worry about gas,  you shouldn't be driving. That's my look on it.

Gee I was hoping this "contest" was going to die out and not attempted for the many reasons mentioned in older posts, such as destroying your fuel pump by letting it overheat with no gas to keep it cool, sucking up gas tank sludge to clog filter or injectors. Then on the other side owners trying to "top off" their tanks to get most in one fill and they overflow the tank and mess up the evaporator vent solenoid/tank or whatever it's called......Oh well to each his own I guess?  :4:

I think this still applies as well as I never bought an AV or Suburban for it's gas economy.... :4:

I know what you mean Edfort I used to have a Suburban with 40 gallon tank and tow a bass boat with a 50 gallon tank, if I ever had to fill both at pumps it would make some people cry....I just accepted it as a fun tax.

I traded a 1999 Suburban for my 2004 EXT.

I have to admit, that huge gas tank sure did get you the range to sometimes bypass times of higher gas prices.

I tried to not let that sucker get too low because it could drain a wallet in a heartbeat.

I just never felt right leaving more than $100 at the gas station for a single fill up.

And at one time, when the gas prices were at a high level, some gas stations had a limit of $75 per fill up.

I never liked having to do two rounds at one time to top off the tank.

Thankfully, most stations I use now have a $150 limit on a card for gas.

Those were the days.

I still have my old girl.  96 Burb. Replaced everything in between the rear bumper and front bumper.    Lol.    Starting to rot bad now.  Salt air kills.    As long as they keep inspecting her , shell be on the road. That's what I used to tow my bass boat with.  But the rot.  Dont wanna chance it.  That's when I met the Beast.  Beautiful  truck.  I'll be buried in that one.
