Rear auto leveling being weird!

Ive got a 2011 LTZ with the full tow package to include factory brake controller. I've been towing our enclosed trailer and boat with no issues until yesterday. I hooked the boat up yesterday and it aired up like usual, then shut off. I noticed when it shut off, I heard the pressure relief valve open then close and the rear started going down so it started airing back up again. I unhooked the boat, it aired up once and was fine. Does this mean it's time for a new compressor?

If that is the original air compressor, then I would say it is probably due.

I'm on my second replacement air pump on my 2004 EXT.

They wear out.

I'm not sure if the pressure relief valve is built into the compressor, but it sounds like it's starting to fail, I have a 2010 and I replaced mine 4 years ago with an Amazon/Dorman replacement and it's been working great for 4 years now, when I bought my Avy 5 years ago it had a blown engine and the suspension was completely worn out, even the airbags on the shocks were blown into pieces, I installed the aftermarket air shocks with the bypass sensor for the electronic ride suspension and they have been great, very smooth ride.

What replacement brand shocks did you use?

Got it, I'll order it.

Schematic, wiring/circuit diagrams, diagnostics for the rear automatic level control attached, in case it helps.

And my vote is to replace with OEM or Arnott air shocks (if needed) and a Dorman compressor. I love the load control when hauling or towing! But it is more cost versus non-leveling hardware.

I have had good service from my Arnott air compressors.

I am on my second one on my 2004 EXT with the second one only recently having been installed.

My first Arnott air compressor lasted longer than the OEM unit it replaced.

If I should manage to keep the EXT long enough to need another replacement air compressor, Arnott will be my choice for that replacement.

I trust the brand.
