Or is it the "the Rocky Mountains and Southwest (and Texas)" Rendezvous 2003 Regional Meet ? ;)

I think it is a possibility that I might be able to attend. I have family that lives in Stephensville so the trip would not be that far from me. As far as the campground and fishing will there be any other activities coordinated by this group? Will there be any offroading? Thanks!

Yes there will be other activities. They have not been determined as of yet. The main thing was to make sure the Park had availability. TexAvfan, Wonder91178, Miss Avalanche and myself plus a few others plan on getting together and discussing the details soon. Once everything has been researched A flyer and Official Thread will be started with all the information.

I think we should meet some time in Feb to cruise over there and check things out - then in March meet agian to finalize what we each worked on from the Feb meeting - dividing it up will help - then in april we will need to begin setting things up like sponsors, tirps and events, meals and lodging. I dont believe that this being our first bib event we should try and duplicate anything on the Natioals scale or much bigger than a weekend gtg sized event. Just a few group meals, one major daytime event (park fun day) and one night or evening fun event (riverwalk tour and Howl at the moon). Maybe a Friday night dinner, Saturday fun run and park party day (outdoor fun and games), Saturday night fun and a Sunday morning farewell breakfast. If it is too big a believe we will loose people due to expense. Now this is just my opinion and not the rule - we all have input - members and coordinators alike - we will need volunteers to help us. ;)

As it stands now TexAvfan Wonder91178 and myself are planning a Recon trip the weekend of the 15th of Feb to scout the park and nearby venues, as well as meeting another clubs memebrs for a Wine Lovers Tour set up for the 15th of February in Fredricksburg. Miss Avalanche and any other coordinators are encouraged to attend. We will be devling out the research duties for the Southern Rendevous Regionals, plus a few other Texas Chapters and Rocky Mountain ans Southwest Chapters business.

You guys know as much as I do as it stands now, I have some other issues that I need to get done with before I can move on.

I won't know anything myself until the recon trip.

Kim

we have the cooperation of the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce and their pledge to assist us in what ever way they can ;). We will meet with their people on Feb 15th and 16th. We will tour the area and get the lay of the land for places to visit and places to eat and sleep. Plans are progressing but not completely formed yet - be patient as there are many other things going on as well. All the upcoming cruises and meets are looking to be great fun with a great Texas style turn out.

Cruise on Texas - We rock. (y)

Well folks we should have a whole lot of information on this event after this weekend. Be looking for information soon to an email inbox near you.
Dave

I sent out an e-mail to coordinators and planners - I have 2 rooms reserved at the SAVE INN in Johnson City for Saturday night the 15th. It is at the intersection of Hwy 281 and Hwy 290. See you guys there around 12 noon to 1:00. Sorry I was so late getting to this :cautious:

I am leaving in about 15 minutes - one of the rooms is for me and my kids - the other is reserved for you guys to spilt. Dave02z66 and Edward K and (Wonder9117:cool:? There was a shortage of rooms so I got a King room for me and the kids and a double room for you guys to share, if you want it. ;)

TexAvfan, glad you made it home ok. I think once we get the final plans worked out we sould start a new thread with all the information, this one is getting a little long to post information at this point.
