6.0 Engine

Has anyone heard expected date for 6.0

Later, a new, all-aluminum 6.0L V-8 with Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing (VVT) will be available.

They say it is coming later, but not when later will be.

The added power will be nice, but will that engine have displacement on demand or run on ethanol like the 5.3? If not, I wonder what kind of mpg we can expect.

It has DoD - does not run on E85.

I just checked out Chevy's website and the 5.3 engine with "active fuel managment" will have flex fuel up to E85 standard on 4x4, and optional on 2wd. 

Is active fuel managment the same as DoD?

Never mind, I found that it was on the 2007 Surburban site.
