My 02 Avalanche horn sounds every time I lock or unlock with the remote. How can I disable the horn from sounding? I do have an
aftermarket car starter if that matters. Thanks

Which remote do you use to lock/ unlock? If I use my factory fob, only beeps if I double press the lock. If I manually lock the doors with the driver's button, and then set the Prestige alarm/starter to lock & arm, the factory horn will chirp when I unlock using the aftermarket fob.  

Just read the manual, if the horn is sounding every time, your aftermarket alarm is wired to the horn or is sending an arm/disarm signal to the factory alarm system. I used the light green wire on the BCM to disable the factory alarm.

I do not see anything in the manual about this issue though. So what do I do with the horn wire from the BCM? Unplug it?

I would cut the wire from the aftermarket to the horn if you have a siren installed as well. You can always reattach it if needed.
