Best Scan tool with bi-directional and able to check transmission codes

Does anyone have experience with a GOOD scan tool that can not only read transmission codes but can reset and learn after changing solenoids, converters/tcc solenoids, etc? I bought one that supposedly would do transmission codes and it doesnt show any at all. I had a tcc solenoid fail and changed it out, having other issues but nothing comes up when I scan my truck (2002 Av)...and also my 2007 Av. Its a Launch CRP123E. I'm still in the return window so I need to find another soon.

2002 does not have as many computers as later years as everything changes with model year 2003 for tech.
why not tell us your issues and problems and then maybe we canbetter help.

As I cannot remember anyone having issues with code reader and tranny and require a special one to special things.

I have the Topdon Dongle. It seems to be about the best dongle out there. Run software off your phone for it. They do sell a tablet that will also work with their dongle that will do a whole lot more but also costs a whole lot more.
