Dead battery again?

A parasitic draw test would be applicable against any electrical system, no? But you're right there is likely more direct info out there.
The easiest way to do it is pull the positive battery cable, put a test light between the cable and the battery terminal. The light should be very bright, then start pulling the fuses one at a time until the light gets dim, once it gets dim look in the owners manual and see what that particular fuse operates. Then you should be able to pinpoint the component that is running the battery down. You should do this without turning on the ignition since you're having the problem while it is sitting. Your truck will constantly draw about a half of a volt to keep the radio and computer from resetting. Let me know what you find.

I would use an Multi-meter in lieu of test light.... so you know amp draw from each circuit as you pull fuses.
Could be 2 or 3 to make it go dead... or more then likely just 1 curcuit.

I posted awhile back for another member, my drain was the drivers side power seat switch, it was had to tell if it was in neutral but doing the amp test when i pulled the power seat relay the amps went almost down to 0 and its been fine ever since after replacing the switch

You all can waste your time on all this other stuff, but I'm telling you it's the amplifier under the console, you're going to have to unplug it or run a separate switch to shut off the amp. I have fixed about 20 trucks due to this problem. Don't mean to sound hasty but I am a master certified mechanic and electronics was my specialty. I'm about 99.95% sure it will fix the battery drain problem. :E: :E:
Do I have to have the Amp? Can I just un plug it and leave it? What will it affect if I do?

If you unplug the amp your speakers won't work, you'll have to wire them directly to the radio. I located the power wire on mine and put in a toggle switch to shut it off when I would Park it.

Turns out it was the a/c relay. If I turn the engine on with the a/c off, where the compressor doesn't engage, nothing would show up. But once the compressor engaged it would draw non stop, even after the engine was turned off, until dead. Replaced the relay and it fixed the problem.

That's Great! That's a new one for me, I've seen where relays would stick sometimes, but never encountered an a/c relay problem drawing the battery down. It's good that you found it, but it sucks that you had to go through so much to find it.
